I realize now that perhaps my greatest blessing in life is the fact that I did not attend college! I am able to say that with conviction now for two simple reasons. 1– Seeing is believing! 2– I would have been as easily indoctrinated as any of my peers.

In the early 70’s, when I would have been in college turning my brain over to some radical posing as a professor…I was working as a counselor/step and fetch man at a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Morgan City, Louisiana. The fetch part pertains to the aspect of my job that entailed searching the bars on Front Street for the men who had come in from their 2 week shift on the gulf oil rigs and decided to stop off for a few before returning to the center to continue their rehabilitation as they were supposed to. You want to talk about education? You do learn a thing or two about yourself and people when you get down to that level. And if you’re not sure what I’m talkin’ about, I invite you to try separating a hard drinker from his bottle and a woman, after he’s been without either for two straight weeks! 🙂

Thinking back on those days, I realize something else. I may not have come away from that experience with a diploma. But I did earn my Masters at reading the lie! Yes Siree…Magna cum-laude my friend! You cannot look me in the eye and slip it by me, I promise you! I’ve had it served up, dressed up and doled out by the slickest on the planet enough times to know, smell and feel one coming at me any time of the day! And if you have experienced any type of an addicted personality in your life, then you know exactly what I’m talking about!

So, I’m here to tell you now 40 years later…that you can’t get away from these people. The radical professors became the very journalists who were supposed to watchdog our government for any violation of the essential checks & balances! And the addicted personalities became the politicians who traded whiskey for power! If you look out your window today, you can see the result. If you can’t, it’s because you’re either one of the two, or you simply refuse to see. But it doesn’t matter either way now because…it’s too late!

So, here’s the bottom line. This goes one of two ways. They find a way to keep the lie propped up for another six months, year or two. In which case, you thank God for blessing you with more time to wake up and get your house in order! Or, the lie doesn’t survive the Christmas season! In which case, if you’re not prepared…you’re screwed!

Sorry, but it’s about time someone gave it to you straight up!
