I’m not sure what “celebrity” does to a person…never having been one. But the more I hear from them these days, the more convinced I am that non-celeb status is the status worth striving for! In fact, judging from their off-screen behavior, it seems clear that most of them chose acting as a means to escape the one character they themselves can’t stand!

Can you imagine having to actually be Cher? Whew! Or how about being a resident of New York City with Alec Baldwin as your Mayor? Not that Emperor Bloomberg is any great treat, but he’s not likely to punch you out for disagreeing with his politics. Baldwin clearly needs help…or at least a little more Yoga!

Then of course for comic relief, we have Chris Rock who apparently boycotts the 4^th of July as a Celebration for White People only. What happens to the human brain on celebrity? I say it that way because it seems to affect people like a drug. One minute they’re fine, normal people like you and me…and the next minute they’re begging for their own execution! Think about it…who is more 1% than George Clooney and Sarah Jessica Parker? And yet there they are out there literally killing themselves for a man who has just told 99% of us that 100% of our misery is due to them!!

But the other thing that’s weird about celebrity and different from drugs. Drugs can make you a little goofy. Drugs can take away your inhibitions. Hell, drugs can even give you a sense of self-empowerment. But celebrity makes you stupid! And I’m not talking normal stupid…I’m talking vacant stare, barely a pulse and drooling stupid! I mean you do realize George and Sarah…that at least 50% of the people who finance your rock star lifestyle actually love America? And you invite the Marxist usurper who seeks to destroy the America we love into the home we paid for? “Stupid” falls a bit short of the mark I’m afraid. Certifiably Insane would be far more accurate!

Actually, I think the only thing crazier than you would be any of us who spend one more dime tuning into you…in any manner, shape or form! Unless of course you promise to stay in character and leave the real world to the rest of us! 🙂
