My friends, C. S. Lewis had it SO right when he said, “One of the most cowardly things ordinary people do is shut their eyes to the facts.” I recently saw a “Beware of False Prophets” warning on FB, and the thought occurred to me that the warning comes too late…as it is the false prophets behind many if not most modern church pulpits who are most responsible for the truth that makes the meme above so powerful. The warning also struck me as a feeble attempt to paint the true fearless and bold Ambassadors in Bonds {Eph. 6:20} like Dietrich Bonhoeffer in the last century, or men like David Barton, Dutch Sheets, Rev. Paul Washer, Rev. Brad Cummings, Rev. Greg Locke and my friend and mentor Rev. Bill Banuchi today…in other words, men who are courageously opening themselves up to bear the stripes of Paul for daring to open ordinary people’s eyes to the truth! That is the very MO of the demonic in our culture…it projects itself onto the target of its attack. They use false dichotomy to present matters of life and death to the Body of Christ, as you say tomato and I say tomahto, you say potato, and I say potahto…

However, this little mind game relies on a certain false dichotomy. I woke up to these words from a local Rabbi this morning after contrasting the Axis of Good in Reagan, Thatcher, and Pope John Paul in the great spiritual warfare of the last century, with their modern counterparts in the same war against the same evil today. “Yes, thinking about what you’ve observed about the big picture is truly chilling. We’re in an spiritual war, facing something approaching a perfect storm. On the other hand, if we can simply open eyes, we can accomplish much.”

Right as rain my friends! None of us will make it through the door God is about to open without the eyes to see! I shared with the Rabbi my dream/fantasy New Year’s Resolution for 2024 being Proverbs 1:1-33, which would lead us back to who God made us to be as pictured in the meme above…and this place Jonathan Cahn challenged us to in his call to Acts 2.0:

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat (no bugs) with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. ~ Acts 2:46-47

Which finally brings us to a dream I had this week…  

The 34 trillion-dollar question: Who among us will possess the understanding, faith, and courage to see and walk through the door He has opened for us? In the very early hours of Thursday morning, He gave me a powerful dream in which I was taken prisoner with others by the Nazis during WW ll.  We were all being brutally tortured in a very large room with a number of guards present. I was being tortured by Hitler himself, who was preparing to castrate me, when I noticed the guards were relaxed and distracted giving me the perfect opportunity. I managed to strangle Hitler before he could yell, escaped…and woke up. Call me crazy…but I believe it was a clear message from God. And later the same morning in my devotion time, I read two scripture passages that confirmed we are at that door! The very last chapter of Ezra where Ezra, after his prayer and confession, exhorts the men of Israel to make their own confessions, separate themselves from the people of the land (of their captivity) and from the strange wives {Ezra 10:11}. Think about that. And then moments later as part of my daily Psalm and Proverb a Day…Proverbs 1:1-33 struck me as, not only the perfect New Year’s Resolution, but the perfect resolution and commitment for the New Earth that awaits us on the other side of the door.  ~ MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERY ONE!
