The Last Balloon

“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”~ Edmund Burke

Balloons are the last thing on George Zimmerman’s mind this weekend as he waits on the six women who will decide his fate. How poetically surreal to float an actual “trial” balloon as the final balloon in the series of their trial balloons…

#1~ The Katrina Trial Balloon– The homes in New Orleans were swept away by God. The Constitutional Rights of her citizens were willfully violated and swept away by the Bush Administration.

#2~ The MF Global Trial Balloon– The high profile former Wall Street CEO, senator, governor and crony-bundler for Obama, Jon Corzine, stole $1.6 Billion from private citizens…mostly farmers and ranchers, as the CEO of MF Global, enriching JP Morgan and George Soros in the process…in broad daylight!

#3~ The Boston Marathon Trial Balloon– One of the largest cities in America was in total lockdown while the “authorities” went door to door illegally forcing people from and searching their homes…for two kids!

One could arguably consider Fast & Furious, Benghazi, the IRS and NSA scandals as trial balloons as well, and in a way they are. But I look at the MF Balloon and its devastating affect on the integrity of our financial markets…markets that cannot function without integrity…they will seize like an engine without oil! And I look at the Katrina and Boston Balloons which gave this government a comprehensive look at what pushback to expect when the rights of its citizens are violated in mass!

#4~ …Which brings us to the Zimmerman Trial Balloon floating above what never should have been a trial for numerous reasons, not the least of which were that the local authorities after conducting their own thorough investigation could find no grounds on which to bring formal charges!

Now this is the trial balloons of all trial balloons that, in my humble opinion, is big enough to bring the singing 5th Dimension out of retirement! Why, I can imagine the typewriter of Tom Wolfe humming away at this very moment as he burns up the keys with the sequel to his best seller, Bonfire of the Vanities (the only book I’ve ever read where a real life villain -Al Sharpton-  grew out of a fictional character!)!

When you stop and think about the characters and events in Wolfe’s book, it really was more of a small campfire compared to the inferno that is about to be ignited in Sanford, Florida next week! Why is that? Because an unknown black reverend held the match in Bonfire, whereas the most powerful racist on the planet holds the flamethrower to Sanford! The man who has already identified with Trayvon metaphorically as his son, has clearly indicated what he wants in Sanford and has dispatched his DOJ Pit-bull to bring home the prize in a courtroom presided over by Candy Crawley’s TWIN (talk about poetic)…on our dime!

So lets’ see…with four balloons, we will have seen our Constitution shredded, our financial markets corrupted, and our system of justice transformed into a banana republic nightmare…while the “good men” did what exactly?

Until all the good men no longer have jobs to occupy their primary focus, good men will continue to do nothing. Again, when the hyperinflation begins, if it ever does, the cascading collapse will push folks like us into action. I wish there was an organized effort to strike first but don’t hear any inkling of one.

I think we can be more resourceful. Necessity is the mother of invention. The good men NEED to find creative ways to connect with one another to help each other’s respective business interests. If I need the services of a CPA or a plumber, it will be a First-Principled CPA or plumber who gets my business!

  3. Generally speaking, anonymous sources from any administration that appear in the Post or the New York Times fall into two categories: whistleblowers and launchers of trial balloons. The latter get sent out to their contacts in the media to release sensitive information on the administration’s terms. That seems to be the purpose of this leak, too. After stoking expectations for forty-eight hours of some kind of meaningful action by the administration, the DoJ appears to be casting a healthy dash of cold water on those prospects.
