Why did the Progressive cross the river?

I read this quote from Brandon Smith’s “The New World Order & the Rise of the East”;  “If (A) my idea of freedom conflicts with (B) your idea of freedom, then (C) neither of us can be free until everyone agrees to be a slave.” …and it made me think of this gem from Aesop:

The Scorpion and the Frog/   A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back. The frog asks, “How do I know you won’t sting me?” The scorpion says, “Because if I do, I will die too.”   The frog is satisfied, and they set out, but in midstream,the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown,but has just enough time to gasp “Why?”  Replies the scorpion: “It’s my nature…” 

I like to think that most of us would act to stop a crime being committed directly in front of us…especially if an innocent man, woman or child was endangered…and even more especially if we ourselves were the intended target of the crime. But this is exactly what is happening in mass. Americans are witnessing massive wrong-doing by every standard they have been raised to value, and yet they are acting as if it is only a movie…and they are only the audience.

The above title, while intense, isn’t the least bit overstated. Yesterday you slept with whomever you chose to sleep with and that was your business. Today, your lifestyle has become the death of mine! Your choice to reject your faith has denied me the right to practice mine! In response to angry comments I read at the end of a very interesting take on the anti-Christian motive behind the Gay Agenda, I wrote the following…

“This is the diabolical heart of our divide. I venture to guess that many on this thread have gay family members who we happen to love. The fact is that the “self-loathing” that most of us could never imagine, is magically transformed into “gay pride” and civil-rights. Who among us could resist a flytrap so sweet? You and I are then forced into the very definition of tough love! We need to cleave to truth without hating them…they’ve simply become pawns.” In fact, I wished I had said “While loving them” instead of “without hating them”…because that is our nature!

The Scorpion/Frog metaphor fits the current cultural paradigm in so many ways. The Scorpion is the charming Progressive, the smiling Government and the beneficent Allah all rolled into the very same nature. They would destroy everything to control everything! The Frog is every single one of us who, in spite of the sum total of history’s lessons; would allow our wants to blind us to the deadly stinger again and again. We want to believe the Progressive fantasy; that Government is here to help; and that Allah is a peaceful prophet. But the rest of us know they are co-conspirators who have woven together such enticing and politically correct promises that we’ve lowered our guards and allowed them in…knowing their fantasies don’t work, their help has bankrupted us, and they are murdering us in the name of Allah!

And now that our compassionate amphibian has welcomed them aboard, they need to sort us out and eliminate those of us who remain mired in the antiquated and traditional ways of our forefathers…which reminds me of a new joke. Why did the Progressive cross the river? Because he had the $14 from government handouts to pay the ridiculous toll his regressive policies led to in the first place! 🙂 Sorry…

There is nothing at all funny about what is being perpetrated on Western Society. My good friend just returned from his vacation trip to London where the pain of £/$ conversion (1=1.80) was only surpassed by the signs of Islamic conversion on every corner…
