Now, here we were in early October. The newlywed parental glow had faded which is not so unusual. But there was something else that replaced it that I could feel five minutes into our conversation. The good news was that their son and his new wife were serving together in the same unit in Afghanistan. But they carried the burden of concerns and frustrations which, I learned in the course of our discussion, were a result of the reports they were getting from their son regarding morale issues; faith in leadership, confusion about mission, and trust in each other. Several times during our conversation they seemed on the verge of tears, as though sharing this with me was somehow cathartic for them…it was heartbreaking for me.
What is most amazing about the times we are living in is the fluid, frenetic and volatile elements challenging the measures of time itself…everything’s a crisis! The IRS, VA and Benghazi scandals, Big Brother NSA, chaos at the border…The White House Press Secretary reassures a very curious Press Corps at a morning Press Briefing about its complete faith in a Secret Service Director who’s gone by the end of that same day! Only a short time ago there was no Islamic State, no “boots on the ground”, no airstrikes in Syria! Now we have a Fortune 500 company named ISIS seeking a global caliphate, actively recruiting the young and disillusioned around the world, beheadings on American soil by radicalized domestic Jihadists labeled “workplace violence” by a President credited by his former Defense Secretary ( a loyal Democrat!) for the birth of ISIS…the very same President whose public vows to defend the Prophet Mohammad clearly conflict with his oath to protect and defend the Constitution and the people of the United States!
What in the world do you say to the parents of loved ones putting their lives on the line for a Commander-in-Chief who’s “lost his way”, according to his own Defense Secretary? “Faith in leadership”, “confusion about mission”, “trust in each other”…what can anyone say about a society that would subject its own children to serve such dishonorable mayhem? How do we justify to our young men and women in uniform an American Imam apologizing to ISIS instead of condemning them? How do we explain a President who thanks the mosque responsible for the Oklahoma Jihadist’s radicalization instead of holding them accountable and shutting them down??
There is only ONE explanation that makes any sense at all. Our leaders have been bought and paid for by the sponsors of Jihad themselves! Let’s start with the man who brought their propaganda arm Al Jazeera to America’s shores, pocketing a cool $100 Million for himself along the way… let’s give it up for Mr. Convenient Truth himself, Al Gore!
But don’t stop there. Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, Lt. Col. Allen West and Walid Shoebat open the curtains and raise the public blinds! Qatar is arguably the preeminent sponsor of terror in the world today. It is a benefactor of the genocidal armies of ISIS, al Qaeda, and Boko Haram; it is involved in Taliban narcotics trafficking through a relationship with the Pakistani National Logistics Cell; and profits from operating a virtual slave state. Qatar is involved in terror operations from Nigeria to Gaza to Syria to Iraq.
Qatar is the largest foreign contributor to the BROOKINGS INSTITUTE! Do you think $15 Million might influence public policy wonks and those in high places to look the other way? Couldn’t this explain the recent dismal US Navy “Morale Survey”? And what about the Air Force removing “So help me God” from the Air Force Oath…after all these years?
WAKE UP AMERICA! Our President can’t and won’t name the enemy because they line his pockets and grease the wheels on Capitol Hill! And I can’t prove this, but I haven’t the slightest doubt that if we were to dig deep enough, we would learn they are the ones who put him in office! Think about that when your kids tell you they want to enlist.
And pray for the ones whose kids are over there!
