But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began contradicting the things spoken by Paul, and were blaspheming. Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, “It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first; since you repudiate it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles. “For so the Lord has commanded us, ‘I have placed You as a light for the Gentiles, That You may bring salvation to the end of the earth.’” ~ Acts 13:45-47
Acts 13 is a major turning point, if not THE turning point for we Gentiles in the Bible. Well dear friends, brace yourselves for what Yogi would have called a Déjà vu all over again moment converging Jeramiah, the First Century Disciples, American Patriots, the Modern Church, Narnia Snow, with the Superbowl!
The part of the Jews who would not receive in Acts 13 is being acted out by the Christians who will not receive today. Thus sayeth the Lord, “Behold the turning point ye foolish ones, so closed inside your huddles. You who did not know your season will not miss the light…until it is gone.” The Holy Spirit directed Paul and Barnabas to shift their attention away from the Jews to the Gentiles. Think of a child who uses a tantrum to control its mother up until the point the mother realizes the grip and ignores the child.
Friday night I watched the movie Jeramiah starring Patrick Dempsey as Jeremiah. I have to tell you I could solidly relate to Jeremiah’s awakening to his calling…being called away from the things of the world by a voice outside the world. Giving up the things you held dear because you know and trust the source of His voice, and you now see how the pattern of your entire life has led you to your purpose. He sees my brothers and sisters in the church communities struck by the very same deaf, dumb, and blindness to the will of God that afflicted the King, his generals, and the people of Jerusalem. Their slumber will lead them to a far greater tragedy than a temporary holiday in Babylon. He sees his brothers and sisters in the patriot communities working out their plans to organize a resistance to the globalist plan to lure us all into their digital-AI prison. That’s the good news. The bad news is they’ve accounted for every stakeholder group, save one…they’ve left the Faith Community out of their plan. So…if we can take God at His word, here we are in both camps in our struggle that is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places…oblivious to the supernatural hand reaching out to us, leaving us spiritually disarmed. The greatest sermon in the world will not save us in such a state as this.
So, Saturday morning I wake up to a message from a friend regarding an event being promoted by a local community we will simply refer to as the modern-day equivalent of the Acts 13 Gentiles. That was the déjà vu trigger to our modern-day turning point…
The day before I found myself speaking with a freedom-fighter friend in what we both perceived to be a God-ordered encounter because of the fact that a mutual friend had suggested we should encounter each other only hours before the encounter
…so, it was no surprise to me when this friend expressed what I’ve observed to be a growing sentiment within the Christian circles. More and more of us are waking up in what has been described in these Tune-ups as “Half-Gospel/Hyper-Grace” churches (a term coined by my friend and brother in Christ, Pastor Earl Wallace), and it’s creating a moral dilemma in their hearts. “Oh, but my good friend (so & so) has asked me not leave.” Or, “But I love Pastor (so & so).” To which I reply with scripture, “And it was reported to Him, ‘Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside wishing to see You.’ But He answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.’” ~ Luke 8:20-21
And yesterday morning I finally get to watch a ten-minute video Pastor Earl sent linking Jeremiah to the Narnian Snow.
Pastor introduced Narnian Snow with the following, “Here’s a blog for the well-versed Christian who thinks with a renewed mind.”
Observing both camps, Christian and patriot, I’m left to wonder who thinks at all…
…which brings us to the Superbowl looming just around the corner, as I have more than often wondered what it will take to get men’s attention away from fantasy football world and back into the REAL game? Well, don’t look now, but a giant pink elephant just landed on the 50-yard line days before the biggest day of the year for the NFL! Owen Interview With Tom Renz
Imagine the shift…if we are able to get men and pastors back onto the field and into the REAL game!
I used to agree with Reagan’s most dangerous words in the English language, I’m from the government and I’m here to help axiom, being THE most dangerous. That is until I heard a pastor say these are different times, implying somehow that God’s views on sin have evolved since the 1st Century Disciples braved most treacherous waters to spread the Gospel.
