Paddle!

A VERY interesting week indeed, my dear brothers and sisters! What began as my pondering the absence of “gifts” in the body of our churches, ended with a national “Don’t Mess With Our Kids” call to action in every state capital with breaking news of Iran’s attack on Israel in the very same hour! In fact, today’s Tune-up was, “God Got Your Tongue?” until I woke up to the answer to our missing gifts delivered in a powerful one-two punch by Naomi Wolf and Pastor Niel Peterson on Thursday morning. Naomi was a staunch feminist darling of the Left, consultant to both the Clintons personally and Hilary’s campaign, as well as Al Gore’s campaign…UNTIL the Covid charade and the medical tyranny that followed it. One tweet questioning the lie in 2020 or 2021, I forget, but you can hear her tell the amazing “Facing the Beast” story HERE, and overnight she became a globally demonized and deplatformed persona non grata! So immediately following the Leftist turned Right Naomi came the BardsFM interview words from Pastor Niel Peterson, “Get Right…or Get Left!” OK God, I’m listening…Conversation with Niel Peterson.

This is the toughest Tune-up I’ve ever had to unpack, but here goes! Absence of gifts, our children under attack, Israel under attack, Left to Right.

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; ~ Acts 2:16

The same tongues that “magnify God” in Acts 10:46 are the least of His gifts in 1 Cor. 12:28…so? The point is that this gift, along with every gift listed in 1 Cor. 12:28 has gone missing from the vast majority of American churches, which begs a very important question reminiscent of President Reagan’s famous lament of the Democrat Party. Did the Holy Spirit leave the American Church, or did the American Church leave the Holy Spirit?

While you are pondering that question, consider yet another sign of the Holy Spiritually malnourished body of Christ stuck in her feelings…Feelings…it’s impossible to hurt the feelings of a son or daughter of the King who, by God’s grace and manifestation of the Holy Spirit are alive in Christ and dead to self! And yet, how many of us are still licking those wounds and setting our own sons and daughters for the exact same fall? The American church, suffering a near total lack of masculine energy, is languishing in the emotional mire of the feminine only…tripping over itself to love what God loves, diabolically disarmed, ill-equipped, and unable to hate what God hates. It will surely turn in the days ahead to hate what the enemy hates!

God has prepared me…God has prepared and equipped each one of us for exactly the times in which we live. In my case, as it pertains to His message Thursday morning, it was canoeing some of the most treacherous whitewater rapids in our country with the Explorers in my youth. On one trip to the Allagash River in Maine, we went up with 12 canoes and came back with 8, 4 were destroyed beyond repair. Here’s the message: In tranquil still waters we can paddle left, we can paddle right, or we can choose not to paddle at all…with zero consequence. Not so in treacherous whitewater rapids…which is exactly where we find ourselves today.

If we truly trust in God, which I believe most if not all of us Tune-up followers do, then we know He is not done with America (as founded), and that after the whitewater…which we have yet to see the worst of, comes the still waters. THAT is why we can’t afford to stop paddling…as so many around us (especially our churches) have done. The fruits of our efforts will be blessed by God to ripen on the other side. I will ask each of you to pray into this, lean into God and ask Him to speak into your life and the lives of those around you…to strengthen and encourage one another, to keep you paddling Right ahead and through the worst of it. #Don’tMessWithOurKids!
