The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ From Ezra to John, The Light of Truth

Where Eagles Dare…

Many of you reading this morning’s Tune-up will understand that these back-to-back Maxwell passages are no accident and refer precisely to the truth of the hour we are in. Ezra 4:3 deals with the discernment of God’s children and the enemy without, whereas John 6:60,66 is discerning the enemy within. The Ezra enemies, or as my inner sheepdog likes to refer to them as, the wolf is not the problem…once identified. Just ask David and our own Founders. It’s the John enemy that can and will hurt us the most. As Chambers puts it, The next time you feel inclined to grouse over uncongenial companions, remember that Jesus Christ had a devil in His company for three years. ~ A Devil in the Company

What Jesus alone knew was that the Ezra enemy and the John enemy are one and the same. What separates the many who couldn’t hear it who went back from Peter who said, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life? Serious question: Did the many who couldn’t hear it choose, or was it God? And if you say the former, please explain your interpretation of St. John 17:9, I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. I actually encountered the John enemy last night…

In June of 1863, just weeks before the Battle of Gettysburg, a college president asked Lincoln if he thought the country would survive. President Lincoln replied:

I do not doubt that our country will finally come through safe and undivided. But do not misunderstand me…I do not rely on the patriotism of our people…the bravery and devotion of the boys in blue…(or) the loyalty and skill of our generals…But the God of our fathers, Who raised up this country to be the refuge and asylum of the oppressed and downtrodden of all nations, will not let it perish now. I may not live to see it…I do not expect to see it, but God will bring us through safe. ~ America’s God and Country, William J. Federer

A Remnant brother asked a great question after reading Lincoln’s response to the professor, How would Lincoln answer the same question today? To which I replied, I think Lincoln would make the same prediction today. He had the vision to look beyond the enemy to see us.

So the enemy I encountered last night in possession of a brother I haven’t seen since the going got tough, wasn’t too thrilled when I asked it where its shepherd was on John 17:21, why it won’t let him out of his temple of dead stone tomb to stand up for the little ones being hunted, raped, tortured, masked, and injected with DNA-altering poison and why he allowed his temple of dead stone tomb to be declared unessential, and will likely do so again. You see, there’s a certain comfort…a perceived safety within the temple of dead stone tomb. There’s no battle, no danger there…or so it seems. And because most churchmen today have taken themselves out of the conflict and off the field of battle, we are treated to this exchange between Tucker Carlson and Mike Pence:

Tucker said, “where’s the concern for the United States,” and Pence replied with, “That’s not my concern.”

Which brings us back to the same question of whether they chose to seal themselves away, or God has made the choice for them? The answer floats somewhere high above my paygrade. And yet somehow, I feel John Hartford, may he rest in peace, may have had the answer. Tall Buildings

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ Rescue, Heal, Restore

The movie “Sound of Freedom” hit movie theaters on July 4th. The true story of Underground Railroad founder Tim Ballard played by Jim Caviezel scored a direct hit on the evil that goes as far beyond human comprehension as the love of God on the opposite side of the good/evil spectrum. Christian patriot/blogger/journalist Scott Kesterson has battled more than most to bring the absolute horror of child-sex trafficking to the front-and-center-focus of a rapidly deteriorating American culture. He has called for his Bards Nation followers to engage at their local levels to transition from passive awareness to an action plan; Rescue, Heal, Restore.

Two weeks ago in SMTU I covered Ballard’s personal experience of rescuing a 16-yr-old girl from behind the Red Door in Port-au-Prince who had been raped every day, week, and year of her life since she was a 6-yr-old “rescued” by the Clinton Foundation after the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. NOW, she needs healing before she can be restored. Move over abortion…child-sex-trafficking is now our greatest sin as a nation!

WARNING! When you take a stand for the little ones, the enemy’s orcs will come at you with the rabid foaming viciousness of Damien’s nanny and Rottweilers in The Omen doing what they do best, projecting their hatred and bullying onto you. Armor up!

So, here is the question that has kept me up at night. HOW DID WE ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN? God answered:

For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it. For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty, how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ What Do You Hunger For?

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my heads with oil; my cup runneth over. ~ Psalm 23:4-5

What do you hunger for? I spent most of the last quarter century of my life as an investment and retirement planner because I honestly believed that most people hungered for those things in life that require some degree of planning; a nice home, a family, college for the kids, weddings, and at the end of the happy trail, a comfortable retirement…endless golf, swimming pools, movie stars. (Cue Flatt & Scruggs)

On the other hand, this is what my Scottish brother Oswald Chambers believed, with all his heart, should be the focus of our hunger: Continually restate to yourself what the purpose of your life is. The destined end of man is not happiness, nor health, but holiness…The one thing that matters is whether a man will accept the God who will make him holy. ~ Oswald Chambers, Holiness to the Lord

As a backdrop to these two opposing views of how to live our lives I need to point out that up until the late 1800’s in America, ALL Americans were given their roadmaps to life through a Classical Education based on Biblical worldview…which is why every day began with prayer in the classroom followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. This system of education created men like George Washington, “No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the invisible hand, which conducts the Affairs of men more than the people of the United States.” Or, Francis Scott Key, “The patriot who feels himself in the service of God, who acknowledges Him in all his ways, has the promise of Almighty direction, and will find His Word in his greatest darkness.” And General Douglas MacArthur, “In this day of gathering storms, as moral deterioration of political power spreads its growing infection, it is essential that every spiritual force be mobilized to defend and preserve the religious base upon which this nation is founded.” How is it any wonder that America became the greatest nation in history? And then men like Horace Mann and John Dewey came along to throw God and baby out with the Classical Education bathwater to give us what we have today…producing men like Joe Biden, “All men and women are created, by the, you know, you know the thing,”

To quote Marlon Brando at the end of Apocalypse Now, “The horror.” Behold…

Our own government created fear to coerce millions into taking an injection that has killed thousands and maimed thousands more around the world to depopulate and make people dependent on the Luciferian-ordered healthcare and pharmaceutical industry for millions if not trillions in profit. How many people in your circle of family and friends are now asking for your prayers for those, once perfectly healthy, now suffering miscarriages, turbo-cancers, myocarditis,  or the exploding “died suddenly” list?

The Jim Caviezel movie, Sound of Freedom, comes out this week. This is the true story of Underground Railroad founder Tim Ballard and his mission to rescue children from the evil and thriving enterprise of child-sex trafficking. Child-sex trafficking is fast eclipsing all other evil enterprises across the globe, and our beloved country overthrown and occupied by this rogue and criminal administration under globalist and CCP puppet Joe Biden is a main player if not THE main player behind it all. Last Sunday I wrote about the Little Red Doors. Since then, 800 children were rescued from a barge where they were being raped, tortured, sacrificed, and killed for body parts in San Francisco.

Now examine the two opposing views on how to live our lives and ask yourselves if any of what you have just read would have been possible had we followed the Chambers prescription?

There are some things that must occur before the Lord returns: there will be a great falling away, the man of lawlessness will be reveled, the son of destruction…Paul had told them as much and was reminding them. His prayer was that their hearts would be directed into the love of God—nothing else has that keeping, preserving, protecting kind of power! ~ Founders Bible, Introduction to 2 Thessalonians…which coincidently matches the 7th Day prayer of the CLOTH 40-days of prayer and fasting…which happens to be today.

Day 7 ~ Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. ~ Psalm 20:4         A great deal depends on what is the real deep desire of our hearts. (Perfect) The enemy uses frequency technology and other tricks to drown out the voice of our own hearts…to replace it with his own.

There is a great deal of chatter in the Christian community about “end times”. We don’t live in end times. We live in these times…the NOW time! I will tell you truly as a retired professional retirement planner that if you continue on the present “comfortable retirement” path, you will do so at your own peril. But my dear friends, if you choose to follow the Chambers Rx, humble yourselves, pray, and seek His face, and turn from your wicked ways; not only will we inherit His promise, but we will also turn the Sound of Freedom from a whisper to a shout loud enough to free every child in the world. We need, my friends, to develop an insatiable hunger for the truth. And I will simply tell you what He told me. The truth lies between His promise in Isaiah 54, and our duty in 3 John. Our battle cry will be emblazoned on the banner of the Eagle Classical Christian Academy, “And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” ~ Isaiah 54:13

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ Liberty vs Freedom & Little Red Doors

By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. ~ Proverbs 24:3-4

The Sons of Liberty, the Liberty Tree, the Liberty Bell, the Statue of Liberty—Liberty, Liberty, Liberty—To (our Founders) (Liberty) was a sacred trust, a precious possession, a privilege to be stewarded, and a right they would be responsible to give an answer for. Liberty meant everything to them. It was something worth fighting for, and, yes, even dying for. It was far more valuable than mere freedom…in comparison to liberty, freedom is somewhat feeble. A certain freedom can be revoked, and my rights violated or rescinded, but liberty cannot be rightfully violated by anyone except the Creator or the individual who owns the liberty. Under freedom, others can negate an individual’s rights anytime they can acquire (or steal as in 2020) enough political power to do so. It is called majority rule, and with it you can vote (steal) someone else’s freedom out of existence; but not so with liberty, because that is an endowed right from our Creator…This is also why our Founding Fathers were at pains to establish a republican government as opposed to a democracy. ~ Founders’ Bible

Now, my dear friends, after this past week of DISTRACTION upon DISTRACTION, even on Jeff’s C&C radar screen…Distracting Beasts…I need to connect the good truth of our Liberty to the evil truth behind the little red doors…

Scott asks in last night’s Please Refrain From Thinking, “Why do they keep distracting us?”

We ended up finding at the end of this multi-month operation this little red door in downtown Port-au-Prince that you wouldn’t think anything of it. It looked like a janitor closet, but it’s this den of satanism, its this dungeon-looking place where these children are being raped there. It was the first time we actually walked in on a raid and saw the kid being raped. Anyway, (holding back tears) we got the kids out…there’s four of them that came out. A couple of them had babies…the infant they were using to leverage the young mom. Anyway, the next day we were talking to them and the one girl couldn’t believe it. She finally spoke her first words holding a teddy bear after being rescued. She had been kidnapped at age six after her parents died in the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. From six to sixteen she was brutally raped for money. And here the red door opens, we go in and get her out, and she says to us, “Is it OK for me to have hope.” ~ JP, Underground Railroad

So, God has revealed to me the spirit of infiltration and deception…the very spirit behind the evil in JP’s report above, that unfortunately is very much alive and well in the majority of our churches, as I personally observed in both my former church in Orange County, as well as within a group of Sullivan County pastors. Called before the pastor, deacons, and elders of my former church to be reprimanded for exposing the spirit behind the sexual grooming that leads to the sex-trafficking of our children, as well as exposing the spirit behind the contact-tracing used to groom people into accepting the evil of the mRNA injection, and ultimately to the mark of the beast, God put on my heart to present all five of them a copy of the Founders’ Bible. I honestly thought these were good men who simply didn’t know the truth about our great American heritage, our liberty, and our solemn duty as churchmen to uphold and pass it on to the next generation. Only two of them ever thanked me. The two largest Christian assemblies in Orange County are infiltrated and controlled by the same spirit…paying lip service to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John while bowing the knee at the Progressive altar of Social Justice, equity, inclusion as it cozied them into solidarity with Black Lives Matter in total submission and surrender to enemies of God who, in turn, have declared them unessential.

The very same spirit among the Sullivan County pastors saw the Founders’ spirit in us willing to defend the sacred trust, the precious possession, the privilege to be stewarded, and the right WE would be responsible to give an answer for, and it vigorously attacked that spirit in us…for being “political”. And it is the very same spirit in both Orange and Sullivan churches that have led their flocks off the field of battle and into the graveyards of irrelevance, as it demonizes patriotism as idolatry and afflicts the church leaders with indifference to the John 17:21 mission of CLOTH as well as their own revival! Far worse…this spirit has literally disarmed men from their primary role of protecting their communities, their families…and especially the children from the evil that is rapidly closing in around them.

I simply can’t imagine a greater pain born by God than that caused by our indifference as repayment for the absolute greatest abba love any father has ever shown, let alone from the ONE who pulled us all from the jaws of hell!

As one of the Sullivan Pastors recently put it, “We serve an awesome God and He’s still in complete control of our universe.” Truer words were never spoken. I, for one, have never doubted God. It is His church and church leaders that need to be held to account in this hour by every single one of us who counts himself a Christian. Proverbs iron has never sharpened iron in silence. Speak up for the (children) who have no voice, for the rights of all the down-and-outers. Speak out for justice! Stand up for the poor and destitute! ~ Proverbs 31:8-9

CLOTH is a cross-denominational fellowship of Christian leader’s committed without apology to Biblical truth and values, to the clear Gospel of Christ, and to our unity in Him according to the Scripture (see John 17:21)!  This unity is critical for us as the followers of Christ, for mutual encouragement and spiritual strength, as today we face an unprecedented battle against the forces of anti-Christ evil, in every area of spiritual, moral, educational, and political concern!  As the early, First Century church stood together as one in Christ, so must we, for strength and effective witness by the Spirit of God in these perilous days!  We are certainly praying for a genuine revival in the church and in our Land, bringing true repentance, reconciliation and restoration across the board, to a backslidden church, and to a country needing divine cleansing from their sins and iniquities before a holy and just God!  With this in mind, and with a revival gathering prayerfully planned for this coming September 23rd, we are beginning, effective tonight, the 25th, a 40-day season of prayer and fasting, through August the 4th!  As you personally seek the leading of God’s spirit for this season, please join us seriously, sacrificially, and prayerfully, to cry out to the Lord for HIS mercy and mighty move among us as His people, for a new “Great Awakening” in our midst!  We commence this 40-day season at 7:00 PM tonight in the “Upper Room” at the Twin Ponds Farm 531 River Road, Montgomery, NY 12549! There is absolutely NO church alternative or amendment to, or religious substitute for 2 Chronicles 7:14 – no concert, no recital, no sermonette, or any other easy “quick fix” for what we need!  We must be desperate for our God, and for what He alone can do by His Word and answer the cry of His people (Jeremiah 33:3)!  ~ Pastor Steve Offringa, Howells Church

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ 40 Days of Anti-Pride!

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. ~ St. Matthew 3:17—4:2

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. ~ St. Matthew 16:24

The Psalmist says, “Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your word.” I was asked to share my story at a gathering of our steering committee…the committee responsible for the founding of the Eagle Classical Christian Academy here in Orange County New York…on this Father’s Day eve. So, I shared my story of affliction beginning with my 5-year high school career in Franklin Lakes, through partying with Satan’s Slaves in the San Fernando Valley, intercepting drunks from crew boats in Morgan City, jamming with Bert Wills and the Country Cadillac in Seabrook, closing the gap with my own father, and two failed marriages…before I finally bowed the knee on a Wyoming mountain top in 2015. Oswald goes on to say, “No man can do wrong in his heart and see right afterwards. If I am going to approach the holy ground, I must get into the right frame of mind—the excellency of a broken heart.” And now me, of all people, part of an amazing team of men and women bringing God back into American education!

Looking out on the wasteland of America on the tail end (thank God!) of PRIDE Month, I can only surmise that the critical mass of afflicted fathers has yet to reach its bottom. I will say there are encouraging signs we are drawing near. From the plummeting Target and Anheuser-Busch stocks to the massive FAN-SLAP across the face of wokeness at Dodger Stadium this week…there is a glimmer. I realized yesterday when I read a headline… Washington Examiner: Why are Western Feminists silent about the plight of Iranian women? Because their hatred of God is greater than their love for women…men…and children! Period. Exclamation point!

Imagine that…on Father’s Day…hatred…not just hatred, but brutal, crushing, murderous hatred that knows no bounds…for the Abba Father of ALL fathers. And WE, you and me, all have our fingerprints all over the crime scene…because of our own foolish pride and love of self.

We have to learn the first great stride of God—“I AM WHO I AM…has sent…you.” We have to learn that our individual effort for God is an impertinence; our individuality must be rendered incandescent by a personal relationship to God, and that is not learned easily. The individual man is lost in his personal union with God, and what is manifested is the stride and the power of God…. ~ Oswald Chambers, Getting into God’s Stride

Nehemiah knew the excellency of a broken heart when he looked out on the wasteland of Jerusalem in 1:4, And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven.

Lamenting the sorry state of the lost church and churchmen, I shared with a remnant gathering of CLOTH (Christian Leaders Of The Hudson) from Isaiah 64:8, “these are not the work of the Father’s hand, but have molded themselves on the creature’s wheel.” And no longer will we wring our hands over those who don’t but lift our hands in praise for those who do. So, this week…this Father’s Day of all days, in honor of our heavenly Abba Father, we announce a 40 day Prayer & Fast commencing at sundown in the Upper Room next Sunday June 25th for all CLOTH members and those who wish to join us…as we continue to prepare the ground with the spirit and intention of 6:16 Nehemiah, And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that that this work was wrought of our God.  

St. Matthew 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

I do not believe there is a man out there who knows the excellency of a broken heart and understands the battlespace of spiritual warfare better than Scott Kesterson. Fishers of Men

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ Sackcloth & Ash

Woe unto thee, Chorazin! Woe unto thee, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. ~ Matthew 11:21

On a Thursday night in the Fall of 2019, in a men’s Bible study at Calvary Baptist Church in Warwick, we were in the “Warrior” chapter of the John Eldredge book, Fathered by God. I remember how I had so looked forward to this night because I had convinced myself that God was going to stir the hearts of these men I love to finally step into their armor as only He could. That dream ended when the moderator asked the question to the twenty of us in the room, “What is your red line…the point where you would risk your own life to stand?” Without a sliver of hesitation I responded, “The moment they bring Drag Queen Story Hour to the Wisner Library!” You could have heard a pin drop…

The same hidden wolf in the room that gave me the death stare that Thursday night would do it again months later when I tried to warn the flock of the insidious evil behind the covid scam “contact tracing” being rolled out…That was the beginning of the end of my days at Calvary.

I don’t know when He’s coming, but when He does, He’s going to find me with my shirt sleeves rolled up and very much in the game. Don’t know what to do? Get out of the anesthetized church and come to a CLOTH meeting. TRUST ME, your soul will thank you!”

On the morning of our June 8 Revival Fundraiser, the Holy Spirit gave me Isaiah 64:8 as a sign of the Calvary churches of the world who have slipped out of the Potters hands and onto the wheel of the enemy, and that the time has finally come to cease “wringing our hands over those who don’t, and lifting our hands in gratitude and praise for those who do!”

For those with ears to hear, and eyes to see…

A great world crisis is coming as the nations are preparing for war on a global scale .

A new movement of God is being birthed as we speak as Everything had to be birthed by and depend on God rather than men. The days of Christian celebrities and self-help seminars is over. Health, wealth, comfort and prosperity is no longer. Everything you have gone through has trained you for this moment.

You are more responsible for this victory today than those men on the battlefield of both world wars. You must be dead to everything else but this fight,

No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier…( 2 Timothy 2:4 )

I believe the Church is starving for true leadership that has the ability to be scriptural, authentic, articulate, simple and fresh. Needed is a blueprint for the Spirit-empowered Church that is anchored in the ancient text of the Bible and breathed upon by the Holy Spirit.

Will we go back to the bondage of religion (Egypt) prior to the global pandemic, or will we follow the Holy Spirit and a new breed of pioneers and visionaries into the promises of God for the new era? Christian celebrities is over, we are back to new-found fellowship of rough neck fisherman or believers worldwide. As the crisis and darkness continue to rise and cover the lands, the Lord is bringing the Church into a new era. Men and women dedicated to the old ways…

Jeremiah 6:16, Thus says the LORD: ‘Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls.’” ~ F. Pierre

Chambers answered the question this very morning…

It is the will of God that human beings should get into moral relationship with Him, and His covenants are for this purpose. Why does not God save me? He has saved me, but I have not entered into relationship with Him. Why does God not do this and that? He has done it, the point is—Will I step into covenant relationship? All the great blessings of God are finished and complete, but they are not mine until I enter into relationship with Him on the basis of His covenant.

Waiting for God is incarnate unbelief, it means that I have no faith in Him; I wait for Him to do something in me that I may trust in that. God will not do it, because that is not the basis of the God-and-man relationship. Man has to go out of himself in his covenant with God as God goes out of Himself in His covenant with man. It is a question of faith in God—the rarest thing; we have faith only in our feelings. I do not believe God unless He will give me something in my hand whereby I may know I have it, then I say—“Now I believe.” There is no faith there. “Look to me and be saved.”

When I have really transacted business with God on His covenant and have let go entirely, there is no sense of merit, no human ingredient in it at all, but a complete overwhelming sense of being brought into union with God, and the whole thing is transfigured with peace and joy. ~ Oswald Chambers, In Union with God

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ You Can Run…

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, “Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself: I think myself happy, King Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews: Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefor I beseech thee to hear me patiently. ~ Acts 26:1-3

It has been three years to the day since Pentecost Sunday 2020 when I prayed to God to show me the way out of a place where just about every man I knew, including the pastor of the church I loved and never saw myself leaving, was hiding from the world. Yesterday morning, I woke up without the slightest hint of what today’s Tune-up message would be…until I read Acts 26:1-3 followed by my friend Lisa’s Damon post above, to which I asked, “Where are they?” …three days into PRIDE month.

I thought about Apostle Paul, in stark contrast to this generation of men, in the chapters leading up to 26, especially beginning in chapter 20:22, And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. And his response to the friends that begged him not to go to Jerusalem for fear of his life, in 21:13 Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart?   for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

As sure as Paul went bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, you and I are bound by spirits that hold us back and keep us down. There are many unholy spirits; fear, pride, and alcohol to name a few. There are ordinary spirits…

But God did not make us to be ordinary men. Nor did He send His Son to save ordinary men.

The religion…of every man must be left to the conviction and conscience of every man; and it is the right of every man to exercise it as these may indicate. This right in its nature is as an unalienable right. It is unalienable; because the opinions of men…cannot follow the dictates of other men: It is unalienable also; because what is here a right towards men, is a duty towards the Creator….This duty is precedent both in order of time and degree of obligation, to the claims of Civil Society. ~ James Madison

The ONLY difference between us and the greatest apostle of all is that we are bound by spirits we have yet to come to terms with. And I myself, until this very day, include myself in the lot with you. But until we do, we are but half men full of empty promises, leaders unworthy to be followed, mentors who fail those who looked up to us, and trusted friends who let friends down.

We ALL need to come to terms with that enemy within ourselves. We ALL need deliverance. We ALL have the power to change…IF we look to our “Universal Sovereign” for the key!

Before any man can be considered as a member of Civil Society, he must be considered as a subject of the Great Governor of the Universe; And if a member of Civil Society, who enters into any subordinate association, must always do it with a reservation of his duty to the general authority; much more must every man who becomes a member of any particular Civil Society, do it with a saving of his allegiance to the Universal Sovereign. ~ James Madison

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ Choose Wisely

Known Only Unto God…

Then said the king, The one saith, This is my son that liveth, and thy son is the dead: and the other saith, Nay; but thy son is the dead, and my son is the living. And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king. And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to one, and half to the other. Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no way slay it. I was preparing this week’s P&FW Invite centered on how God is proving us (Judges 3:1-4) by offering His church, under the thumb of growing persecution, a revival (Promised Land) it must ARISE for in order to claim. As this was developing, brother George texted me his scripture of the day. When I heard the ding I knew it would fit before I opened 1 Kings 3:23-27. Brace for impact…the Lord had me in Genesis 3:15, seed of the serpent enmity with seed of the woman! George’s text revealed Solomon’s wisdom to discern and rule over the seed of the serpent in favor of the seed of the woman.

Which seed is it that seeks to use the 1 Kings sword to correct God’s perfect creation, cutting the baby in two in our day?  

But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. ~ St. Matthew 13:25

Many are starting to realize that not only did man sleep, he’s been fast asleep for nearly half a century now. When he closed his eyes fifty years ago the first half of this meme applied. Today he is rapidly waking up amidst the strangling tares to realize the ultimate rude awakening…

Unfortunately, far too many men, including most pastors and church leaders have grown too comfortable in the darkness behind closed eyelids. So much so in fact, they will side with the enemy against those who would dare turn on the lights! Is there any greater evil than the one that would make you feel guilty for doing the right thing in a world gone so very wrong?

Houston, we have a problem here in “the land of the brave”. “A man-eating lion would starve!”

God wasted no time in proving Jesus immediately following His baptism in the Jordan. What is a baptism if not the awakening to the new life within? Well, my dear brothers and sisters, He is wasting no time in proving each of us, here and now, in our own hour…

Those with a pro-God worldview must become reengaged in society. They must not only vocally and politically reassert their support and approval for the public religious liberties expressions that Americans have enjoyed and cherished for four centuries, but they must also denounce those who attack and seek to abolish those liberties and expressions. If we do not, we will continue to lose them by default —by silence and inactivity. Remember that even though God told His people that He had given them the Promised Land, they still had to keep fighting the giants. In fact, the lesson the lesson of the children of Israel clearly demonstrates that if you don’t like fighting, get used to living in the wilderness; but if you want to enjoy the richness of what God has promised, learn to battle hostile forces. The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ From Upbraid To Upgrade

I have followed the modern-day Joan of Arc (Ann Barnhardt) ever since she put the financial security of her clients before her own interests after Obama-bundler and former governor of New Jersey, Jon Corzine pilfered MF Global in 2011. She contacted her clients, told them she could no longer faithfully manage their investments in a system (COMEX) that had just torpedoed its own integrity, and closed the successful commodity firm she had built…and went to war!

In this week’s P&FW Invite I was shown the spirit of Eliab in contrast to the spirit of David his brother in that crucial darkest-before-the-dawn moment in 1 Samuel 17:28. It’s a very ugly spirit my friends because it is a legion made up of jealousy, envy, spite, and cowardice. It’s a spirit of consuming fear that is so frightened of its own success, it cannot bear the success of another…and it is the paralyzing cancer in the vast majority of men, and churchmen in particular, in this our crucial darkest-before-the-dawn moment…he will hide from his own revival.

Goliath is a midget in comparison to the monster before us, and so few among us now just as then will find the strength, the faith, and the courage to go on, but will choose instead to fall in behind the shadow of Eliab. They will find another church to shelter them from the truth of their own cowardice, rather than stand up to the beast that will eventually devour them just the same.

And best of all, think of the strategic mind of God who really let the boys have it * before lifting off from the Mt. Olive launch pad like a Saturn V rocket! He was preparing the ground for their full blossoming into the Acts men they became…just as we are now preparing the ground in Montgomery!

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ “The Duty Is Ours, The Results Are God’s”

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; ~ Isaiah 61:1-2

I tell you my brothers and sisters, He is drawing SO close I expect to see Him as well as hear Him any day now…

From this morning’s Chambers read: The people of God in Isaiah’s day had starved their imagination by looking on the face of idols, and Isaiah made them look up at the heavens…Is your imagination looking on the face of an idol? Is the idol yourself? Your work? You’re your conception of what a worker should be? Your experience of salvation and sanctification? It seems, just as Pastor Dave Bryan pointed out to Scott just this week, that we…especially we men of the church (the people of God), are living an Isaiah déjà vu all over again! “In the West we’ve replaced spiritual reality with rationalism.” ~ Pastor Dave Bryan, Glad Tidings Church, Yuba City, CA  No truer words!

God is so amazing…when we finally look up to behold John Quincy Adams who looked up to behold Isaiah…

So, here in Orange County this week we witnessed the sad and tragic consequence of the epidemic of starved imagination in men. They become “one of the most dangerous people” Michael Yon just described, as homeless U.S. military veterans are thrown out onto the street to make room for child-trafficking gang members in hoodies. “Veterans Displaced”

Looking on the face of idols, we can’t see what comes next…because we’ve become too afraid to look. We can only endure the darkness of blind faith in a God we’ve long since walked away from. Our calcifying cowardice brings a gradual rigor mortis that will cause us to turn up the music to mask the screams of our own children when they eventually come for them…

Not on my watch. Not only has God blessed me with a very well-fed imagination, He also blessed me with the most heavenly angel of all, pictured above, to watch over me. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee thou shalt condemn.
