Well, Chip… (*GRIN*)… I can smell “BS” when it’s laid out right in front of me and again… with respect… WHY would the mighty Clinton machine have “allowed” Obama to become President rather than Hillary if there was any real proof that Obama was constitutionally ineligible to serve as president?
Bill Clinton had been president of the United States for 8 years. “His” people were still deeply embedded in the vast federal bureaucracy all during the Bush years AND IN ADDITION once the Dems recaptured the House and Senate in the election of 2006 the “Clinton machine operatives” and others who viewed the Clintons as the titular heads of the Democratic Party gained further power via Congress’ power.
Chip… common sense dictates that if there was anything to find… the Clinton machine would have found it… found it and USED it.
Yeah… I concede… I can indeed be “fooled.” My fear, however, is that you tend to fool yourself by willingly turning a blind eye to facts and logic when these facts and this logic doesn’t fit into your pre-determined storyline.

Im not so sure of that Bill. There was no possible way Billary was going to get into the whitehouse, striking a deal for her position would be the next best thing. Should that have failed i can see them making an issue out of it. I dont know much about the birther issue other than what i have read on various sites. What i do know is that the current BC is a Photoshop nightmare, there are layers on top of layers, scanning will not do this, at least to my knowledge which is considerable when it comes to technology.
Personally i feel this was all done on purpose to distract those who would normally be yelling the loudest over the current administrations policies, instead they are all arguing over the validity of the Presidents birth status. Meanwhile the entire country is being sold out by both parties and no one is doing anything to stop them. It is up to us after all and waiting for another politician to fix things is useless, even if someone does come along, such as Ron Paul, the system is to corrupt to fix.

Then I’ve read other stuff saying the first stuff was bull. Frankly I don’t know what to believe based upon the latest evidence since I just don’t have a proper handle on what the latest evidence actually is… or isn’t.

WHAT! Clint? Really Chip? Do you have a post so i can read the information? I dont doubt anything until i am able to decide for myself after doing my own research. You two seem to have a little love hate thing here, just remember that we usually have more things in common than not, focusing on the not is what has brought our great country/world to where we are now.

Bill, this has been done on purpose to keep us further divided, you arent the only one. I see it this way, Obama has had many opportunists to shut the birthers up yet he has chosen not to. Just a month or so ago there was a case down in Georgia, i think, where Obama was requested to show proof to determine whether or not he would be on the ballot there, he chose not to show up or even send a lawyer. He could have shut everyone up right then and there but he chose, again, not to do so. With so many people having the same concerns why wouldnt he just do as asked but the courts? To me this is a tell tale sign that something is amiss.
And Bill, thank you, ive bookmarked and read through parts of your blog but as i am new to this sort of thing, blogging, i am still trying to figure out the difference int he blogging formats, wordpress, google. Is there a way to follow a google blog through wordpress?
Ive found the Eastwood post, sorry for having to ask where it was. One thing i agree with is that the reality portrayed in movies/TV has completely screwed up personal realities. None of these people are who we think they are.

I have great respect for Chip. Indeed, his is the only blog I read regularly absent prompting from Drudge or one of the RealClear sites or NRO or some other jumping off point.
Chip and I just look at certain things in different ways. It’s not that I’m more conservative than he is or that he’s more conservative than I am; I’d say the best way to put it is I’m more philosophical whereas Chip is more spiritual.

I also have more of a a libertarian streak in me, whereas Chip walks a narrower moral path.
