The Enemy of my Eminence is my Enemy!

The Covering of Grace by the Diabolical!

Em-i-nence (n) 1. An outstanding rank or degree. 2. A lofty place, as a hill. 3. A title of honor applied to cardinals of the Roman Catholic Church.

More wondrous news from the rabbit hole of what used to be an honorable place my friends, read and weep:

67th Annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial
Foundation Dinner

Thursday, October 18, 2012
The Waldorf=Astoria
Keynote Speakers:
President Barack Obama*
and Governor Mitt Romney

*Enemy of the Catholic Church, ergo Enemy of Christ, ergo Ally of Satan! Period!

Al E. Smith was the first Catholic presidential candidate. The first Al E. Smith Dinner, an annual fundraiser for Catholic charities was held in 1945. Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy were the keynote speakers in 1960. There are two huge differences between then and now. We had honor then and we knew who our enemies were and we treated them accordingly.

I am new to the Catholic faith Cardinal Dolan so please forgive my inquisitive nature on matters that are surely mundane to your Eminence. But I first need to come to a better understanding of the title Eminence as it relates to the office you hold…with great pride I am sure. Since the title clearly represents your “outstanding rank” and “honor” in the Catholic Church, would I be correct in assuming that as such you have distinguished yourself in your service to our Lord Jesus Christ among those of the faith? And thus, would it then be fair to say that incumbent in your acceptance of such honor is your loyalty to our Lord Jesus Christ above any and all earthly kings?

Then why on earth would you seek to honor one who has so clearly violated the sacred tenants of our faith? And far worse than that, he has openly and flagrantly disgraced the image of our Lord on more than one occasion…most recently by covering our Lord in black in his own home at Georgetown University…A JESUIT SCHOOL before the eyes of our children at their own commencement ceremony!

How in the world do I dare talk to my children about the importance of rank and honor now after you honor the man who seeks to diminish the life and death of the greatest prophet to have ever walked the earth to a caricature no different from Santa Claus…a caricature we take out and put away on a whim…with the change of the season? Any fat man can fill the jolly red suit sir. I hope and pray that you have brought more than girth to the robes you wear and the office you hold so dear.

Michael Voris seems to have his doubts…

Please feel free to let them know how you feel…

…and then please sign the petition and pass it along! May God Bless & Keep us forever in his glory!

1 Response to The Enemy of my Eminence is my Enemy!

Thank God, not all of us are sleeping…

    Timothy Cardinal Dolan
    Diocese of New York
    1011 First Ave
    New York, NY 10022
Subject: The chief priest answered, “We have no king but Caesar”

    Your Eminence:

I am very concerned regarding your extending President Obama an invitation to the Al Smith dinner. Let me provide some background:

God tells us, You shall not distort justice; you must be impartial. You shall not take a bribe; for a bribe blinds the eyes even of the wise and twists the words even of the just. Justice and justice alone shall be your aim, that you may have life and may possess the land which the LORD, your God, is giving you (Deu 16:19-20).

And God says that when we are unjust and our hands are full of blood, He doesn’t even listen to our prayer: When you spread out your hands, I close my eyes to you; Though you pray the more, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood! . . . Put away your misdeeds from before my eyes; cease doing evil . . . Make justice your aim: redress the wronged, hear the orphan’s plea, defend the widow (Is 1:15-17).

Cardinal Dolan, today, I believe the Lord is again being crucified by the chief priest, to be more specific, by you. Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your king?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.” Then he handed him over to them to be crucified. (John 19:15-16)

When our bishops, today’s chief priests, forsake the Lord and His demand for justice while pandering to pro-infanticide, pro-abortion, and pro-same-sex marriage politicians – Obama, for example – they cry out loud and clear, “We have no king but Caesar,” no different than the chief priests who persuaded Pilate and the Roman soldiers to crucify God Himself.

In following Christ we are not to regard the position or status of others in their treatment. The Pharisees and Herodians knew that Jesus was truthful and impartial in His teaching and treatment of others. Teacher, we know that you are a truthful man and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. And you are not concerned with anyone’s opinion, for you do not regard a person’s status (NAB Mat 22:16); for you do not regard people with partiality (NRSV Mat 22:16); for you do not regard the position of men (RSV Mat 22:16). I don’t believe there is any evidence in the Gospels that Jesus pandered or watered down His teaching to give advantage to Temple or civil leaders, in fact concerning the Temple (church) leaders, He demonstrated just the opposite, I believe we must do the same.

It appears to me that you, Cardinal Dolan, are showing “partiality,” showing “regard” for Obama’s “position” or “status,” You’re not being “impartial.” You don’t have the aim for justice. Inviting Obama to any dinner and giving him a platform is putting him above the unborn, above the faith, above justice. Your invitation, in my eyes and the eyes of many others, suggests support for Obama’s evil behavior. It appears to me that you are, in effect, saying, “We have no king but Caesar.”

According to canon law, it is the diocesan bishop alone that is responsible for what goes on in his diocese, not the politically correct USCCB, not the Catholic Conference of his regional area – in this case NY – not a vote of all the priests in his diocese – the responsibility is his alone. Unlike the bishops responsible for Notre Dame and Georgetown, you need to, and you will, be the one and ONLY one responsible for this decision.

The Catholic faithful’s expectations are higher for chief priests (cardinals, archbishops, bishops) than for others. Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more (Luke 12:48).

Yet, Cardinal Dolan, as a cardinal and a Catholic, you, in a most public and obvious way, not only violate God’s word and Canon Law (287-1, 386-1 & 387) but you violate the USCCB guideline, your own guideline, “They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions” (USCCB – Catholics in Political Life – 2004).

Am I making a judgment on your behavior? Yes I am. As Dr. Peter Kreeft has pointed out: It is wrong to be judgmental as regards persons, but it is equally wrong to refuse to judge actions.

With all due respect, I suggest you pray to Saint Thomas Moore who said, “I die the king’s faithful servant, but God’s first.”
