Moral Courage Is The Loneliest Courage That You Will Ever Know!

The British Bull Dog

Moral courage is the courage to take action for moralreasons despite the risk of adverse consequences. ~ Wikipedia

~ The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner ~

From my mother’s sleep I fell into the State,
And I hunched in its belly till my wet fur froze.
Six miles from earth, loosed from its dream of life,
I woke to black flak and the nightmare fighters.
When I died they washed me out of the turret with a hose.
~ Randall Jarell 1945

A ball turret was a Plexiglas sphere set into the belly of a B-17 or B-24, and inhabited by two .50 caliber machine-guns and one man, a short small man. When this gunner tracked with his machine guns a fighter attacking his bomber from below, he revolved with the turret; hunched upside-down in his little sphere, he looked like the fetus in the womb. The fighters which attacked him were armed with cannon firing explosive shells. The hose was a steam hose.” — Jarrell’s note.

I don’t know what possessed me to first think of a “Belly Gunner”…but I do know that it was when I myself was drawing some pretty heavy fire. I don’t care if its exploding cannon shells or assaults from the PC crowd…when it threatens to take away the very things you hold dear, you are in the line of fire. Period! It’s kind of like the idea of freedom. Someone please explain to me how loss of financial livelihood is any different from razor wire. And yet this is exactly how they keep us all in line…isn’t it?

But why the Belly Gunner? Maybe it has something to do with the idea of lonely courage. I mean, is there a more lonely battle station than a Plexiglas bubble, isolated from your own crew, your family…and the rest of the world? Who does that? Alicia showed up in Middletown, NY with a handful of people and her sign with the very last words St. Thomas Moore spoke on this earth “I die the king’s faithful servant, but GOD’S first.” to protest our weak-kneed Cardinal Dolan who, as it turns out, is more lost than his own flock. God Bless you Alicia! It takes amazing courage to stick your head up when so many, many more are keeping theirs down! The Cardinal could not look you in the eye because he could not face the piercing light of the spirit of St. Thomas working through you.

Adverse consequences come in all shapes and sizes. St. Thomas had his head lopped off for refusing to violate his conscience to accommodate his friend…and King. One doesn’t have to be Lord Chancellor of England to feel the cold steel of adverse consequence upon the neck! When one person’s freedom to act in the privacy of their home becomes another person’s obligation to publicly sanction that act, we invite extortion at its worst! What could be more evil than to demand that which the heart and soul cannot give? How grievously devoid of moral courage must any spiritual leader be to appease it? How misguided have we allowed ourselves to become, to consider this a socially just path?

I can think of no greater contrast between moral cowardice and moral courage than by comparing our crowned prince of apostolic appeasement, Cardinal Dolan to the British Bulldog himself, Winston Churchill? Is there a soul besides the One…in all of human history who knew and suffered lonely courage more valiantly than Winston Churchill?

Every wonder why Obama sent the Winston Churchill bust back? Wonder no more. Turns out Churchill was no fan of Islam:

(Via FortLiberty.org) Winston Churchill was arguably the greatest Briton to ever live, and, as his mother was American, we might also consider him a great American. Churchill fought in the Boer War, in India, and in WWI. He is most well-known, however, for leading Great Britain through WWII as Prime Minister. In addition to his military and political achievements, he also wrote A History of the English-Speaking Peoples and many other works of unparalleled excellence.

The Britons were well-known for ignoring Churchill until they desperately needed him. He often bluntly told people what they did not want to hear. They ignored him until the truth of his assessments were unavoidable.

Today, the dark veil of political correctness has descended over the once-free peoples of Great Britain and the United States. People are afraid to speak the truth due to both social and legal sanctions.

In this times, we must once again call on the bravery, honesty, and integrity of Mr. Churchill. The following passage is quoted from the second volume of the first edition of The River War, published in 1899 by Longmans, Green & Co. of London:

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it.

No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.

Can you imagine a British or American politician of this day and age speaking with such honesty and such candor? On September 3rd, the same political party that passionately rejects the Tea Party will roll out its Red Carpet to the Ideology that executes homosexuals, treats women as property, calls for “honor killings” and is responsible for 19,000 terror attacks SINCE 9/11! http://www.wnd.com/2012/08/dnc-hosting-2-hour-islamic-jumah-prayers/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

I have been flying non-stop missions for the past three years now and this will be my last run until after the Jewish holidays, so that I can get back to my family. I will continue to publish my What If You Only Had One Day every Saturday. Until then, keep the Faith and remember two things:

1)      We will never teach our children to stand up, by asking those we love to sit down.

2)      The only thing necessary for evil to triumph in the world is that good men do nothing.
