A friend asked me the other day, “What is the difference between a Catholic and a Protestant?” After a brief reflection, I responded “Good question! I suppose the answer depends on who you ask, but you’re asking me so I’ll tell you how I see it. The difference used to be huge and seems to be narrowing by the day. It used to be our “sacraments” and the “transubstantiation” in the Eucharist. The “split” was Martin Luther’s answer to Tertullian’s question “What has Athens to do with Jerusalem?” His answer– “Everything!” Vatican II was the beginning of the end…soon, there will be no difference at all…in my humble opinion.”
Dear Friend, I pray for your forgiveness if I offend…but Pope Francis is exactly to the Church what President Obama is to government. I pray that I am wrong, but I can see only blood, death and mayhem from the appeasing olive-branch-gestures of the Jesuit and the Marxist.
Thanks to Anne for sharing the words of our Pope John Paul II in response to the recent letter from Pope Francis to La Republica in which he suggested that “good conscience” alone is sufficient in obtaining the eternal salvation of Heaven.
To avoid confusion – – – when in doubt about any truth of the Faith, stick to a Catholic Bible and the “CATECHISM of the CATHOLIC CHURCH, Second Edition”. Share the CCC with others.
“ The Catechism of the Catholic Church, which I approved … and the publication of which I today order by virtue of my Apostolic Authority, is a statement of the Church’s faith and of catholic doctrine, attested to or illumined by Sacred Scripture, the Apostolic Tradition and the Church’s Magisterium. I declare it to be a sure norm for teaching the faith and thus a valid and legitimate instrument for ecclesial communion. “ – Pope John Paul II. (CCC pg 5)
CCC: ” 1783 Conscience must be informed and moral judgment enlightened.
A well-formed conscience is upright and truthful. It formulates its judgments according to reason, in conformity with the true good willed by the wisdom of the Creator.
The education of conscience is indispensable for human beings who are subjected to negative influences and tempted by sin to prefer their own judgment and to reject authoritative teachings. “
So, whether you are Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or Atheist it makes no matter…but you need to understand that what Pope Francis has done “to” the Church in complete contradiction to the Catechism and Pope John Paul II reeks of the same bitter “Fundamental Transformation” flavor Obama has served up for America…which most Americans can assure you after four years, is a meal ticket to Hell! Period!
The similarities between the Jesuit and the Marxist are stunning. They both possess a remarkably laid-back, lead-from-behind-energy the Devil must LOVE! In essence, it is the abdication of leadership when leadership is needed most. It is an irrefutable law of nature that when the light of leadership withdraws, its dark nemesis is quick to fill the void. If Martin Luther cracked the door, Vatican II burst open the tabernacle!
Whether it is on the battlefield or in our halls of worship, the quality of men are strengthened by the light of leadership…and weakened from its absence. George Washington’s men respected him first in order to love him as deeply as they did for the simple reason that he modeled and thus infected them with honor and courage by charging out to meet the bullets ahead of them…much to his officers concern I might add. It is absolutely no different in the battlefield for the soul my friends! The Jesuit and the Marxist have set the table and invited the wolves…the very hungry wolves indeed.
Might I suggest that you arm yourselves in the following manner: First understand that because someone has poisoned the well doesn’t mean we should give up water. In fact water is essential to life…without it we die. In the very same way, man has poisoned the Church to keep us from the Eucharist…which is just as essential to our spiritual lives. I can’t think of a better way to know and invite the Christ than by learning the 5 Decades of the Rosary. Please pray for me that I might pick up the pace in this department! 🙂
Second, because the wolf is real, we need to protect our loved-ones, our homes and our properties which are the very cornerstones of our liberties and freedoms enshrined in our Constitution and granted us by our Creator! The diabolical has shrewdly blurred the lines to his advantage. Men need to get back to the business of being men and women to being women. Our children will thank us for it! God Bless You!
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host –
by the Divine Power of God –
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
