An Amazing Week in Heaven and on Earth!

"pure heart and gracious speech"

“pure heart and gracious speech”

Throw out the mocker, and fighting, quarrels, and insults will disappear. Anyone who loves a pure heart and gracious speech is the king’s friend. The Lord preserves knowledge, but he ruins the plans of the deceitful. ~ Proverbs 22:10-12

“Keep your eye on the ball” is a saying we all grew up with. I bet it is one of the most well-worn sayings of all time because of its universal applications and the heart of the message. In the very same spirit, and for the very same reasons, I have modified it to accommodate a much bigger ball with a great deal more at stake for each and every one of us!

Keep Your Eye on Heaven & Earth!

Not long after Jorge Mario Bergoglio became Pope Francis, it became clear that the same energy of Fundamental Transformation that had taken the State by storm as promised by President Obama had now engulfed the Church as well. Traditional Americans and Traditional Catholics alike felt the earth move under their feet as the ominous black clouds darkened the heavens. A new proclamation was set forth and orchestrated in unison by the new world emissaries of Church and State: You have been wrong in your faith and misguided in your patriotism! The faint of heart acquiesced as the Remnant girded…

For those of us keeping our eyes on heaven and earth, there was a seismic shift this week…a refreshing disturbance in the force you might say. As 9 Supremes rebuked the earthly emissary with a resounding “NO”, a lone Bishop fired off a “restorative” flare across the bow of his heavenly counterpart! Ironically, this went largely unnoticed by the masses, who were preoccupied with a much smaller bouncing ball in Brazil!

I absolutely love the quote from Proverbs 22 I happened to come across while reading Ben Carson’s book “One Nation” during this same period. “Throw out the mocker, and fighting, quarrels, and insults will disappear.” Mocker ~ 1. to attack or treat with ridicule, contempt, or derision.

Hmmm, now let me think for a moment…we used to be “One Nation under God” that has definitely been fundamentally transformed into a nation divided by “fighting, quarrels, and insults”. But what single person wields enough power to earn the title of “The Mocker” I wonder. I know!! He is the one who appears the least comfortable when the man of “pure heart and gracious speech” steps up to command the podium! If you haven’t yet watched this amazing speech by Dr. Ben Carson, I urge you to do so and pass it on!

It is so easy to lose heart in today’s world, but I would encourage you not to for two reasons. First, we can’t afford to. And second, we would miss the opportunity that adversities and hardships bring. The last sentence of the Proverbs quote is extremely telling and useful for us at this time and place. Knowledge, like Truth, can be hidden but never destroyed. But think of the “plans of the deceitful” in the context of Fast & Furious, Syria, Ukraine, Obamacare and Benghazi. Every one of these falls into the “ruins the plans of the deceitful” category. So why do we insist on thinking of them with such heavy hearts as scandal, when each one of them represents the uplifting fulfillment of God’s prophecy? Could it be because we have ALL been conditioned to keep our eyes on the wrong ball?

Ben Carson has been encouraged to run for President in 2016. He says that God has not called him to this…yet. But when you learn his story and hear him speak about us and the country we love, you can’t help but wish it so. How poetically fitting it would be…a man who made something out of nothing, succeeds the man who attempted to turn something into nothing! He is clearly a man with his eyes on heaven and earth! May I suggest that we all pray for God to give Dr. Carson the nudge he is waiting for? Amen…

Amen! And to the naysayers who would say he is “unelectable” I would say, that is what they said about Ronald Reagan.
