“Few have noticed, but while Americans have been absorbed with such ponderous issues as the Kardashians’ latest costume change, our nation’s leaders have shifted us quietly from a republic toward an empire. The middle class is fading fast, and in its place is a rising neo-feudalism.” ~ Scott Lively, “Marriage Issue: Time for Pitchforks & Torches”
My small business networking group met this past Thursday for breakfast. As I have written here before, we are a politically diverse mix of people who meet weekly to refer each other business. We have a health products distributor, a home repair person, a CPA, a financial advisor, attorney, realtor, insurance broker, computer specialist, defensive driving instructor, and others who have somehow managed to put friendship before their political differences.
There was a common thread in the 2 minute updates from the individual members this week. Everyone, it seemed, is feeling the effects of an increasingly hostile business environment brought on by mounting layers of taxes and regulations. It made me think of the Scott Lively article I had just read in the current issue of Whistleblower, which I mentioned to the group. A very Lively discussion ensued (sorry). Lively is 100% right though. We are doomed unless the Left and the Right can somehow find a way to unite in an “authentic populist” revolt…the one thing the elites fear most:
“Hey, conservatives! Can’t you see the difference between healthy capitalism and crony corporatism?
Hey, liberals! Can’t you see that the elites wouldn’t so zealously implement anti-family Cultural Marxism if it didn’t serve their interests and not yours? Don’t you remember that Lenin called people like you “useful idiots”?
Hey, everybody! Can’t we stop fighting each other for just long enough to stop the puppet-masters from stealing America out from under us?”
Great questions with very easy answers in my humble opinion. Even as our businesses bleed out from multiple tax wounds, as they turn blue under the weight of excessive regulation and restriction, one of us is less concerned about Lively’s “puppet-masters” because we still believe our interests are being served. Those of us on the Left who haven’t felt the sting of persecution (yet), still tend to think of those in charge as more well-intentioned benefactors than adversaries out to “steal America from under us”. And yet, each and every single one of us is a murder victim that hasn’t died yet. But we are slowly dropping, as they keep propping lie upon lie…as the real economy contracts in the wake of their unsustainable charade. Wouldn’t it be nice to know who actually pulled the trigger before we lose the last thread of consciousness?
Think back to the aftermath of the Tunisian food vendor who set himself on fire in December of 2010, setting off a wave of “spontaneous” protests across the Arab World…protests that the dumbest blond on television enthusiastically heralded as the great and wonderful “Arab Spring”! Well that dumb blond has a very smart father who said the following…in 1969:
“The nation state as a fundamental unit of man’s organized life has ceased to be the principal creative force: International banks and multinational corporations are acting and planning in terms that are far in advance of the political concepts of the nation-state.” ~ Zbigniew Brzezinski
And he had a friend who said this:
“Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure—one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.” ~ David Rockefeller, from his 2003 Memoirs
Read and weep the blueprint of your own demise and then tell me whose interests are served by our continuing to fight with one another, rather than uniting together in one ear-shattering “OH NO YOU DON’T!” “Integrated global political and economic structure” means: domination of populations via giant corporations.
Torches and Pitchforks anyone? 🙂
