The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ Epilogue

"I will awaken the dawn."

“I will awaken the dawn.”

There is something very physiological and real that happens to us when we experience Truth, regardless of whether or not we accept it. You see, it registers within us exactly as any good medicine would. It becomes active within us at the cellular level, whether we accept or acknowledge…whether we wish to get better or not! Lies, on the other hand, are quite the opposite. While they too embed at the same level, their nature is literally antibody. Even the most innocent lies expelled and ingested with the best of intentions, are diabolical in their intent to thwart the body’s primary mission; the successful delivery of its ONLY purpose in this life!

We should all be farmers for the Truth. Hearing, seeing, touching, tasting and feeling Truth is only the childhood stage of the body experience. We only have the seeds. A farmer would not be much of a farmer if he only ever had the seeds. It is all about what he does with them that matters most of all. This, Dear Friend, is the very heart and soul of Luke 21:12-13 You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. (emphasis mine) We know the Truth at the deepest level, when we hear it. But, in the body experience, it is a painful pill to swallow. This is why we know the most painful Truth in Luke 21 is verse 16; because we know the anguish on the souls of parents, brothers, kinsmen and friends who betray us as Judas for fear of choosing Truth instead. The Truth is in them to know what they refuse…and the weight of betrayal which eventually leads us all to the rope and a tree.

So even though I may argue most passionately the right choice is to abort the seed so violently planted inside my womb by the most evil rapist imaginable, the Truth in me recognizes the most innocent of all three souls involved! Any voice that would tell me otherwise belongs to the mercenary mob of the well-schooled-in-the-art-of-deception other.

If you listen carefully you will know, the loudest and most passionate voices crying out belong to those among us who have only ever known the mob. They have never known a time and place where peace was in the heart of men; with virtue safely in their minds and on their tongues. They have only known this world of lies and falsehoods perpetrated by the worst generation of man. I left my home and came to the mountain because the world was upside down. God gave the devil the freedom to run the world, and so he has. But in so doing, he provides us with our greatest opportunity,But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony.”

Your mind can sense the truth when you see and hear it. But your heart will surely know the Truth by contrast after you’ve danced with the devil, and seen him at his work. The Devil said unto him, all this power will I give you, and the glory of them, for that is delivered unto me; and whomsoever I will I give it. If you therefore will worship me, all shall be yours.” ~ Luke 4:6

“No reason to get excited,” the thief, he kindly spoke, “There are many here among us now, Who feel that life is but a joke, But you and I, we’ve been through that, and this is not our fate, So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late” ~ Bob Dylan

“It is for no one but you.” said the tempting voice on the lonesome pines. “The world has no time or interest for such selfless errands. Better to strike at windmills, alone with your dreams…and the echoes of a fool, your only companion.” Shakespeare knew as well as any man; of so many, many men in all the world…of the fool’s errand, the buried treasure, and the great divide along the even greater fault line under the stars. Same as it ever was…

The only question that has to matter when you’ve reached this point in the road is, “Who do you serve?”

My soul is among lions;                                                                                                                        I lie among the sons of men                                                                                                            Who are set on fire,                                                                                                                         Whose teeth are spears and arrows,                                                                                                                                                and their tongues a sharp sword.                                                                                                    Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;                                                                                          Let Your glory be above all the earth.

They have prepared a net for my steps;                                                                                       My soul is bowed down;                                                                                                                 They have dug a pit before me;                                                                                                     Into the midst of it they themselves have fallen.                                                 Selah

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast;                                                                     I will sing and give praise.                                                                                                        Awake, my glory!                                                                                                                             Awake, lute and harp!                                                                                                                            I will awaken the dawn.

I will praise you, O Lord, among the peoples;                                                                                   I will sing to You among the nations.                                                                                            For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens,                                                                                     And Your truth unto the clouds.                                                                                                       Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;                                                                                           Let Your glory be above all the earth. ~ Psalm 57:4-11>

Great article and timely. Thank you!

    Hi Chipo!
Wonderful insight! What dynamic tension exists between the truth and a lie, good and evil, righteousness and wickedness. The same line in the sand (truth vs. lie) that was drawn in the garden for one Mr. Adam and Ms. Eve, endures today with stark reality. The side we choose to stand on has serious as a heart attack, ETERNAL consequences. And there it is again……the right to choose. Choose carefully. There’s a slow train coming.
