The Light

This past week, one of my best friends found his only son OD’d while another high school friend’s only daughter attempted suicide. And, I was only just having a conversation with a church mom about how ill-prepared and ill-equipped our kids are. These three events triggered my recollection of an event from a couple of years earlier. I had just started attending a monthly prayer breakfast at a local diner…this was my first meeting. There was a woman in our group of twelve Christians who spoke Christian with a “Progressive” accent. She never came to another meeting. I never gave it another thought…until now. “Progressive” love cannot co-exist with Christian love, because the former is not love at all. It is the lie that stole love’s clothes…kind of like the Prince and the Pauper. I believe this truth is at the very heart of the civil war we are witnessing within the United Methodist Church at this very moment in time.

The roots of our subversion are “Progressive” and run deeper than you could possibly imagine. Our children’s struggle for truth is ten times harder than an asthma victim fighting for breath. In poor Zendrah’s case, it’s not asthma choking her lungs…it’s her teachers (Rabbis) who have cut off the vital oxygen of truth to her brain. What the Composer Mahler referred to as the “sentimentalism which leads to the gas chambers” is everywhere. “We are saturated”, I wrote to a fellow TCT commenter…which made me think of the Mark 9 story of the frustrated Disciples who had been unable to cast out the demon from the boy.

The Liar in Love’s clothing offers aid, comfort, and absolution to the Gay/Transgender ; not for love of the Gay/Transgender, but for hate of the Cross…and those of us who dare to love and obey Him.

Peter, James, and John were standing in the light of the greatest Truth (Love) ever assembled in one place at one time in Jesus, Moses, and Elijah…and were told to tell no one. The devil has done his level best to hide it from everyone ever since. The deck has been stacked against us for so long now we’ve nearly forgotten what it’s like to be true. Except that we know it when we see and hear it.  Ravi Zacharias gives the best 5-minute explanation of Truth I have ever seen and heard here. I was also able to see and hear it in the Kentucky Governor’s response to “How do you reconcile your love for children with your (support of 2^nd Amendment)?” Here. Could this be why certain voices are being banned from social media platforms for being “dangerous”?

Finally, the devil’s best trick was to put very smart people with lots of letters after their names on his own mountain top. I leave you with the light transcribed by the “illiterate laywoman” Catherine of Siena…as only Ann can deliver them:
