The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ The Business As Usual Of Death

Home of the Fearful

I woke up Monday morning past to a Facebook post from a friend soliciting thoughts and opinions as to our economy and time-frame for recovery. And the thought occurred to me that so many of us have yet to fathom what has happened and is happening to us. It is comparable to the people of Noah’s time thinking they were still standing on dry ground…in the middle of the flood.

It would be a complete shame to waste this “time-out” our patient God has given us, longing to return to the business-as-usual lie we’ve all been living…a lie we’ve been living, and have actually grown dependent on for much longer than any of us seem to care to remember. Perhaps, truth be told, this is because for almost as long as we can remember we’ve been living on and submitting to the paradigm of death. We are now learning (those of us with eyes to see) how our world order has slowly and steadily shifted to a Luciferian paradigm over the years. The signs are quite literally everywhere; a Microsoft ad featuring Marina Abramovic, the Podesta brothers spirit cooking parties and dark artwork collection, the Epstein Island and NEXIVM cult bust…and now the H.R.6666 (TRACE) Act.

My Maxwell Leadership Promise this past Monday was Genesis 32:28, “Then (the Angel) said, ‘Your name shall no more be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.’” Tuesday’s message was “Balancing Your Gifts With character”…as I learned of this Seattle cop who was fired from his job for his Demonstration of Character. While we are waiting on God, He is watching us. This was our invitation for this week’s Prayer and Fast Wednesday, with prayerful focus on our Genesis 32:28 “Israel Moment”.

The Spirit is taking me deeper than usual on this Prayer & Fast Wednesday past. I had a Zoom call with 24 of my fellow office associates on Tuesday. It was both pleasant and chilling at the same time. They expressed how all of this is causing them to reflect on the important things in life, and giving them more family time…but none of them seem to have the slightest clue, or the healthy sense to question what we are all being herded into. How could they? I’ve heard their shepherd’s messages carefully if not fearfully couched in their submission to the wrong authority. I think back now and see so much. How the County Leadership Programs, the County Chambers of Commerce, and various other so-called community centers played their respective and collective herding roles by attracting, grooming, and conditioning prospective puppets, with little or no grounding in solid civic awareness or moral principle. Most heart-breaking of all…the larger churches played an even bigger role, leading us to kneel before the Gods of Social Justice and Political Correctness, leaving the smaller ones no choice but to follow along or whither on the vine. Keith had it right this week with his 2 Timothy 3:12,13 alert, but who would have ever thought to look for the deceivers and deceived in such places? Where in the world have all the “Stout-Hearted Men” gone?

John Stonestreet sheds some wonderful light here: “I’m convinced that the best opening line in history is by C. S. Lewis’s in the Voyage of the Dawn Treader: ‘There was a boy called Eustace Clarence Scrubb, and he almost deserved it.’ In selfish, snotty-nosed Eustace, Lewis personified how malforming and narcissistic, in both habit and pedagogy, education can be, especially when it encourages students to ‘look inside,’ ‘express themselves,’ and ‘be whoever they want to be.’ He fully articulated his complaints about modern education in the essay, ‘The Abolition of Man,’ which might have the best closing line in history: ‘We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.’”

Not so long ago, a Warwick friend of mine was admonished by a shepherd from the larger church for his standing up to boldly question the village government authority over the Blue Line controversy that drew national attention. My friend and his family left the larger church to find the better church.

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep                                                              to gain that which he cannot lose.” ~  Jim Elliot

The Fear Not Fellowship has a good “stout-hearted” ring to it, don’t you think? We, as Americans, are at the greatest and most crucial fork in the road in generations. The Abolition of Man occurred because somewhere along the way, the church ceded her moral authority, withdrew from her once prominent position in the public square, and turned the making of men over to the destroyer of men.

The enemy of all mankind peddles fear to control and destroy what God gave His only Son to save. It is fear that keeps us from our churches and our precious loved ones in their darkest hour. Or, to put a twist on Elliot’s quote, Only a fool would surrender God’s greatest gift by hanging onto what he cannot keep. It’s time to shed our squeamish selves and turn away from our sleep walk on the road to ruin of business as usual, to overcome our fear and choose the only path, the solid path, and the right path of life over death.

A wise man’s heart inclines him toward the right, but a fool’s heart toward the left. ~ Ecclesiastes 10:2

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ The Fork in the Road

God Bless His Sheepdogs On The Wall

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of inequity? Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul would soon have settled in silence. ~ Psalm 94:16,17

“I’m gonna wake up every morning to lose what I must win, and find another way of livin’ that feels good within my skin, Gonna throw away the book of lies that brought me to this place, to see my self reflected in the timelessness of Grace.” I wrote these lyrics from my song New Earth ten years ago. It appears, in the prescient tense, I was feeling then what we are all living…or about to live now. We’ve all been shaken from our easy chair in the air, Titanic decks are getting wet from the icebergs of misery…no?

What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Just as it is written:                                                          “God has given them a spirit of stupor,                                                                                       Eyes that they should not see                                                                                                        And ears that they should not hear,                                                                                                To this very day.” ~ Romans 11:7,8

After I released my Album “Wide Awake” in 2010, which included New Earth, everything changed. I lost family, friends, and clients as I, first musically, and then politically, began to embrace principles and values that those aligning themselves with a “new world order” found offensive and threatening. It was around this time that I discovered my inner sheepdog and a very strong calling to protect those principles and values we as Americans hold so dear. In 2012 this calling led me to join and eventually serve on the national board of Oath Keepers. That’s my friend John in the photo up top standing watch on the rooftop in Ferguson several years ago. We first met doing security at a free speech rally on Boston Commons of all places. Oath Keepers were there to protect the small businesses and shops from arsonists after the fuse lit by the very same Globalists who lit the Covid fuse today, exploded into riots and civil unrest.

I have noticed a very interesting trend and pattern occurring in the Deep State/Globalist attacks against our President and all of us as Americans. Similar to the principle of the martial art style of Aikido, God is turning the attacks of the wicked back against them. Even this Orwellian lock-down is giving us the opportunity to reassess, reexamine, and reevaluate our lives and relationships to one another, and to God Himself. I believe that history and future generations will mark this moment as the exact opposite of what the Globalists intended…the great awakening of the sleeping giant. But it will be for naught if we don’t identify our greatest mistake of all. Somewhere along the way we grew and became passive. We lost our “stout-hearted men” as my friend reminded me this morning in a song her father used to sing…

Give me some men who are stout-hearted men                                                      Who will fight for the right they adore                                                                      Start me with ten who are stout-hearted men                                                          And I’ll soon give you ten thousand more-ore                                                Shoulder to shoulder, and bolder and bolder                                                          They grow as they go to the fore                                                                                  Then there’s nothing in the world                                                                                  Can halt or mar a plan                                                                                                    When stout-hearted men                                                                                                    Can stick together – man – to man…

This is the Spirit that inspired our invitation to this past Wednesday’s Prayer & Fast. I feel the Spirit is bringing us the proverbial “fork in the road” my friends, as well as the end of “business as usual” on SO many levels. Praying for ALL of my fellow Americans. Please join us for tomorrow’s Prayer & Fast Wednesday with prayerful intention on Ecclesiastes 10:2

I have found an amazing kindred spirit in Scott Kesterson’s video series, The Bards of War; One has to first know and understand the enemy in order to defeat him. The Slings and Arrows Finally, I leave you with this moving letter I received from a fellow sheepdog in Connecticut.

Chip,

You, Matt M and I met briefly at a Katie Hopkins talk a while back. A couple of us CTOK, including myself, were providing security. This attachment is vital.  I know I put it into the right hands with you for proper disbursement with the proper words. This attachment is powerful stuff. I look to Ephesians armor of God and the Book of Nehemiah for being a soldier of God and strategic offense/defense tactics respectively when wrestling with the evil in front of us. Especially relevant with this attachment is the overwhelming force of faith in our favor if we consider each gate of the city as a different faith here on earth, not just denominations of Christianity. Please read, pray, reflect, and get back to me.  I am more than happy to work with you on moving a project forward if you see merit in doing so. Example: If each of us could get copies into the hands our religious leaders, our local P.D.’s and the elected servants at all levels, preferably in person, I think it could have monumental results.  It would press them into thinking through faith first. God before government.

If I may, after prayer and reflection I have the following thoughts, late bloomer that I am.  We should really be tackling everything in life with faith first, be it joys or concerns. Why, because it honors God and His will. The 10 Commandments are all about respect. Respect for God yes. But also respect for each person’s spirit. and if a person’s spirit is respected (nurtured, protected and given direction), then he or she has the best chance of meeting their full potential. And the best chance of gaining heaven.

The first couple of Commandments are about honoring God; direction and nurturing. The rest of them are about a respectful and responsible individual and society (all 3, direction, nurturing and protecting). The Constitution fully supports the 10 Commandments by doing the same thing.  Acknowledging individual rights as superior and sovereign to states’ rights (local society with its own flavor in our great nation). States’ rights sovereign and superior to federal rights. Each layer of govt supporting and defending individual rights; Thus, empowering the human spirit to reach its full potential. When first presented to the American people, it unleashed the power and creativity of the human spirit such that no nation has come farther and faster. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs supports both the Commandments and the Constitution. The spirit, and fully developing it, are at the core of each. And the battle of good and evil is about which side wins or influences the spirit the most. This, to me, says that the spirit is a Principality. The battle of the Principalities as spoken of in Ephesians. Honoring God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and the human spirit is righteous and vital. “To whom much is given, much is expected.” We have been blessed with faith, family, and country. And each needs us desperately right now. Thank you for your time,

Matt N

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ The Darkest Hour

Prison of the False Narrative

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. ~ Romans 5:3,4

I have never known a darker time…and brother have I seen black in my day. The book of Job comes shining into my mind here, in what one may be tempted to call a “God-forsaken place”.

All that a man possesses is at times not in the hand of God, but in the hand of the Adversary, because God has never withdrawn that authority from Satan. The disasters that attend a man’s possessions are satanic in their origin and not of the haphazard order they seem to be. When Jesus Christ talked about discipleship, He indicated that a disciple must be detached from property and possessions, for if a man’s life is in what he possesses, when disaster comes to his possessions, His life goes too. ~ Oswald Chambers, When Disaster Comes

If I am cursed with attachment to anything at all, it is this wall I have been on for the past twelve years. I saw this coming in 2008, and have been singing, shouting, and calling out from the wall ever since. The book of Job is an amazing story about one man’s own tribulation, having been brought down from the pinnacle of having it all to losing it all as part of a bet between God and the Devil. The Devil wagered that Job’s love and devotion to God was attached to his wealth of possessions which, if stripped away, would lead Job to “curse God to His face.” Last week’s SMTU message was that we are ALL being tested in this, our darkest hour.

Why is light given to a man whose way is hidden, and whom God has hedged in? For my sighing comes before I eat, and my groanings pour out like water. For the thing I greatly feared has come upon (us), and what I dreaded has happened to (us). I am not at ease, nor am I quiet; I have no rest, for trouble comes. ~ Job 3:23-26

The great lesson of Job is the danger that lies in wait for even the best of us when we interpret or assume anything regarding God’s judgement or plan for us. I tell you truly I am seeing these things now…these errors and grave mistakes in those I love and respect most, and it grieves me beyond words. Because these same friends of Job have come back to fill their shoes again, and attribute to God what has been the plan of the Adversary all the while, yielding to the wrong authority, and leaving us to face the wolf in this our darkest hour. Where is the perseverance, the character, and the hope in that? I have learned a very painful lesson by realizing cognitive dissonance is an equal opportunity destroyer and can only pray these dear friends are snatched from its grasp before Liberty breathes her last breath.

God speaks to us this day in my May 3rd Morning Maxwell “Leadership Promises”:

Trade Your Fears for Faith in God

Brokenness involves removing inappropriate pride and self-reliance and building healthy God-reliance. God tamed Moses’ self-reliance and pride in the desert, but to create trust He had to break the man’s fears. Moses dealt with different kinds of fear in his encounter with God:

  • Fears concerning himself. God responded by assuring Moses of his purpose.
  • Fears concerning God. God responded by overwhelming Moses with His presence.
  • Fears concerning others. God responded by demonstrating His power and commitment.
  • Fears concerning his ability. God responded by providing him with a partner, his brother, Aaron.

With his willfulness broken, his fears overcome, and his purpose affirmed, Moses finally placed himself in the hands of God. Life is filled with trade-offs. Moses sacrificed his status and material possessions to prepare for his life purpose. And then to fulfill it, he had to sacrifice it again, relinquishing the security and safety of obscurity in the desert. If you desire to lead, then you must make sacrifices. ~ John C. Maxwell

And then, from another Scotsman I so highly esteem…

The Spirit imparts a solemnity to our circumstances and makes us understand something of the travail of Jesus Christ. It is not that we enter into the agony of intercession, it is that we intercede for the people He has placed around us; we present their cases before Him and give the Holy Spirit a chance to intercede for them. We bring the particular people and circumstances before God’s throne, and the Holy Spirit in us has a chance to intercede for them. That is how God is going to sweep the whole world by His saints. ~ Oswald Chambers, The Spirit’s Intercession

Throughout the sands of time, through all life’s many tests both large and small, we finally come to rest on the head of a pin, in this our Darkest Hour. There is fear in our attachments to more than property and possessions. I can throw down with the wolf, because I have nothing to lose here. But false narratives can hold us just as tightly as any mountain of wealth, and the routines they lock us into can be harder to break out of than the strongest prison ever built. Father God, we pray in earnest for Your Holy Spirit to come in…here and now. Amen.

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ Tyranny, Faith & Patience

The John 15:13 Soldier

And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness in realizing the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. ~ Hebrews 6:12

I am convinced that life is a series of little tests we pass or fail in preparation for the BIG test. I think of myself, as God made me to be…a sheepdog. The little test results have affirmed it so and point me in this direction. But the truth of the matter is that none of us know for certain how we will respond when we finally come to the BIG one. When you stop and think about the BIG test of our Lords most loyal disciples prior to the Resurrection and Ascension, it was in the Garden of Gethsemane. They fell asleep on their watch! Twice! Or was it three times? And the most crushing, and revealing to my point, fail of all. Peter denying Jesus three times. So, how can any of us really know?

Tyranny, a slow-moving shadow, steals in like a thief in the night. Tyranny has faith and patience too. It has faith in itself and has the patience to plan for years while most of us dwell in days. I along with most of my generation grew up hearing of the horrors of the Holocaust and wondering how the German people could ever have allowed this to happen. Now I know.

Good leaders cultivate honest speech; they love advisors who tell them the truth. ~ Proverbs 16:13 ~ I feel I am blessed with good leadership at the local level in my church and state. My pastor and our County Executive are two of the most solid men I know, exemplary in their roles of leadership by example. Stop and think how both men are being tested now as never before. As the ripple expands outward to the…throne in Albany, I feel we are cursed by a Machiavellian soul, a soul that Proverbs has a great deal to say about as well. Think what it says about a leader who sends the clear “by any means necessary” message to those serving under him, his very first day on the job as HUD Director…a slow-moving shadow

The great truth in all of this is that we are all being tested in this, whether it’s the BIG one or simply the biggest to date. Think about all the parents with small children forced from the necessary means of caring for them, and those of us separated by the same “by any means necessary” force, from loved ones in their final moments upon this earth. Teachers from students, shepherds from their flock…and let me tell you how God knows the sheepdogs too. Got a friend up on that wall…shot thirteen times…gets back up there every single day. I’ve been a little more vocal with my leaders of late. I know they are very much aware of the slow-moving shadow.

Earnestness is a great word meaning sincere and intense conviction. I had a Christian Facebook friend actually warn me about taking on the enemy the other day. You’d be surprised how many times I get that, from both good folks, and not-so-good folks. The enemy loves nothing more than to cause the John 15:13 soldier to question his own sincere and intense conviction in the very heat of battle. I’ll close here for now with this rather encouraging prayer a friend sent me the other day…

From Lily Diblasi:

A prayer for these times in this (CoronaCold):

Eternal Father, You made the whole World stop spinning for a while.

You silenced the noise that we all have created.

You made us bend our knees again and ask for a Miracle.

You closed Your Churches so we will realize how dark our World is without You in it.

You humbled the proud and powerful.

The economy is crashing,

businesses are closing.

We were very proud,

we thought that everything we have, everything we possess, was the result of our hard work.

We have forgotten that it was always Your grace and mercy that made us who we are.

We’re running in circles looking for some cure to this (CoronaCold), when in fact we need to humble ourselves and ask You for guidance and wisdom.

We’ve been living our lives like we will be here on Earth forever like there’s no Heaven.

Maybe these trials are Your

mercy in disguise.

Maybe this (CoronaCold) is actually

Your way of purifying us, &

cleansing our soul, bringing us back to YOU.

Today as these words travel the internet, may all who see them join their hearts and hands together in prayer! Asking for forgiveness & asking for healing & protection from this (CoronaCold)…GOD just wipe it from the Earth!

Father, You have been patiently waiting for us. We’re so sorry for ignoring Your voice… and in our selfish ways, we’ve sometimes forgotten that YOU are GOD!

You only need to say the words and our souls shall all be healed. We ask these things in Jesus’ name!… Amen

Pray for all

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ Breathe, Listen, and Turn

Amen

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. ~ 2 Chronicles 7:14

We are in the vortex of surreal my friends. I pray this morning finds you in a good place in terms of the basic essentials, as well as good physical and spiritual health. There was a time when these simple things were all that many if not most of us required to live a happy life. I’d like to try to tie some things together in this morning’s message, connecting the past two tune-ups to the one today. The picture becomes clearer to me with each passing day. The “spirit” I introduced last week, made its way into our lives on the slippery slope I wrote about the week before. I will come back to that later.

Last week I wrote about seeing this lock-down as a “great opportunity” to go to the video tape, reflect, do the “gut”-check, get our bearings…to “conquer ourselves”, which really means to conquer that which the enemy wishes to fill us with, our fears. And a couple of days later a friend sends me this wonderful video produced by a Christian combat journalist named Scott Kesterson, entitled Learning to Listen. Kesterson does an amazing job identifying the enemy and offers great insight into how God is speaking to us and preparing us for the greatest battle in our lifetime. I encourage you to watch. I received more than a few calls this week from those of you who had taken the time (What else do we “non-essentials” have to do? 😉) to view the What in the World Is Actually Happening video I sent, thanking me and expressing how it confirmed what their “gut” had been telling them all along…

Which brings me back to the “spirit” that has invaded our lives and is killing us softly, sapping our spirit and poisoning our soul. The spirit I introduced to you last week had introduced itself to me the week before when it attacked me in anger for my having invited it to Prayer & Fast Wednesday that week. The very thing it fears most. “This kind does not go except by prayer and fasting.”  What else do we know about “this kind”? We know that it sees our emotions as our greatest weakness, and therefor its greatest opportunity. We know that it doesn’t want us to trust our “gut”. We know that it wants us distracted from the things that matter most to the people God made us to be. And we know it causes us to bow down to it, and guard against those who mean it harm…say through the encouragement of prayer and fasting. In other words, it hates the sheepdog in us. It’s presence in our governments, schools, and churches is why so many of us are sick and suffering in our bodies, mind, and spirit. I shared with a friend just yesterday, I had seen this very spirit a couple of years ago when I had first attended the monthly prayer breakfasts held in Goshen. It was manifest in a woman who sat across from me, a Unitarian as I recall. Thinking back on it now, I believe that it could feel that I was able to see it and so it moved on to seek out weaker openings.

Speaking of weaker openings, my April 17 John C. Maxwell “Count on Character” read fits perfectly into this morning’s message. ESPECIALLY in light of the circumstances we all find ourselves in at this particular moment in time.

A thick bankroll is no help when life falls apart, but a principled life can stand up to the worst. ~ Proverbs 11:4

Maxwell goes on to say, How a leader deals with the circumstances of life tells you a lot about their character. Crisis doesn’t necessarily make character, but it certainly does reveal it.

God has plenty to say if we are willing to listen. He is revealing so much. What we do with it will determine the legacy we leave behind. From top to bottom we are far better people than who we’ve allowed ourselves to be…just when it matters most. My prayer for each and everyone of us in this STOP is for us all to take the proper breath, listen, and come out on the other side wiser and stronger than before. Our Community Preparedness Teams of America Motto is as good a beacon to follow as any, Trust in God, Strength in Unity. God Bless, stay safe, stay healthy, and stay free. See you at the Turn.

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ The “Pure & Simple” Way

RISE!

The way of a guilty man is perverse; But as for the pure, his work is right. ~ Proverbs 21:8

On this day of days the King of kings chose life. We do not have to conquer death, He did that for us. We only have to conquer ourselves…

The globalist who sees the American President as a threat to the New World Order, makes a statement that “Coronavirus will forever alter the world order”. Does he mean the end of the Nation State that has been in existence since the Flood? There is only One who knows for certain, and He does not appear ready to tell us…yet. We know how the story ends, but even with all the signs, we remain unknowing of the time.

Its hard to see the present time as anything but a curse. People are sick and dying. And more of the living are living in fear. Fear of getting sick, fear of losing a job, fear of losing our homes, and our most basic comforts. Its one thing to understand the Christian path of suffering…its quite another to actually walk it. But in the present time, like no other before it in our lifetime, there is a great opportunity…

“Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that you are the Lord God, and that you have turned their hearts back to you again”(1 Kings18:37)—and God did. How did the prophet gain the ear of everyone who heard his voice? We can discern a number of reasons:

  • His courage: He was willing to stand alone for God.
  • His conviction: He had a passion for what he believed.
  • His character: He was honest and forthright with everyone.
  • His connection: He magnetically drew the people to himself and to God.
  • His credibility: He eventually gained the people’s ear because he got the results he wanted. ~ When the Real Leader Speaks, John C. Maxwell

Think of it this way. One minute we were all racing to Hell, whether we care to admit it or not. And the next minute God said STOP, and so we all have. STOP gives us more time…to conquer (another great c-word) ourselves. The devil wants us all focused on the c-virus. I myself prefer to think of all who shape the four domains of human life (politics, economics, culture, religion), or wish to, in the context of the five c-words above. It’s easy if we try. Think of the vitamin C depletion in the areas that matter most!

Time-outs and discernment go very well together…another week of Maxwell/Chambers collaboration!

I pray your heart is well in these dark uncertain times in this, the Holiest of Holy weeks. Our prayer focus for those who are able to join us for tomorrow’s Prayer & Fast Wednesday will be “Pure & Simple” as inspired by my Oswald Chambers’ read, The Pure Life, taken from Proverbs 21:8 The way of a guilty man is perverse; But as for the pure, his work is right. That we may discern When the Real Leader Speaks, as found in 1 Kings 18:37 “Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that you are the Lord God, and that you have turned their hearts back to you again.”

One of my favorite sportscasters is Warner Wolf who’s famous for his line, “Let’s go to the videotape.” He was providing fans the opportunity to look back at sport plays, good and bad, for the purpose of keeping them up-to-date with their favorite teams and players. And then you have the coaches who use the same videotape to help their players learn from the past in order to improve their future. That’s where I see us now my friends. The Globalist wants us to think of ourselves as the fans. I see us as the players…in the game of our lives. Whether we are preparing for the game, or in the locker-room at halftime, we have the greatest Coach of all time to lead us onto the field.

I was given a great insight this week regarding a certain spirit on a very important team. The insight given was the fact that this valued player was possessed of a spirit contrary to the mission of the team. Interestingly, it is the very same spirit I wrote about last week. The kinds that enter in through the slippery slopes…The question is how to best use this videotape insight to learn in order to literally save this player and best prepare the rest of the players to avert disaster and improve their future?

The pure and simple fact of life is this. Churches and baseball teams have a great deal in common. The spirit of the team is in many ways far more important than the talents of the individual players on the field. The spirit we allow into the locker room will destroy the mission of a baseball team, just as the spirit we allow in the pews can defeat the mission of the church. Winning spirit, competitive spirit, and team spirit are all great for the former. But there is no room for other than the Holy Spirit in the latter. The invasive spirit in the locker room tends to come in the form of the strongest player (think Alex Rodriguez). In the church this is not always the case, in fact often times it is just the opposite. In either case, in subtle and not so subtle ways, the coaches and shepherds yield to it, submit to it, and when we are no longer able to call the spade a spade…bow down to it.

Think of what I am saying in the context of this very astute summary of who and where we are as a people, and how divided we fans have allowed the players to make us:

Regarding these present changes and shifts, some portion of the world’s population will find these changes glorious and will advocate for them to continue; some will find these changes barely tolerable, but will conform out of a desire to survive and sustain basic life along some line of a familiar status quo; a few will likely outright and openly reject, resist and attempt to stop these changes. Finally, some of the world’s population will find these changes so unbearable that they will suffer what Alvin and Heidi Toffler referred to as “Future Shock” and will simply shut down, becoming “Wards of the State,” as they will be rendered entirely dependent upon an outside system of support. These individuals will simply have been “struck dumb” and will no longer possess the capacity to self-sustain and self-support.

Please use this STOP wisely to STOP being fans and START being the players God made us to be. Why? The reason is pure and simple…Because He Lives ~ Performed by Kristyn Vellenga

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ The Slippery Slope of Witchcraft

There’s no such thing. There’s no such thing. There’s no such thing.

“The Bible reveals that the unseen world has rulers and majesties and tremendous beings with whom man can get into communication and be possessed by, but God pronounced His curse on the man or woman who dares to communicate with them.” ~ Oswald Chambers, A Fearful Curiosity

I pray dear reader, that you and yours are well in these difficult times. To be honest, I don’t worry as much about my readers as I do those who are out of tune with the true nature of things. The stage could not be more perfectly set for the end times prophesied in the Bible. The pandemic, earthquakes, locusts…and false prophets. My morning Chamber’s read earlier in the week sparked the realization in me of how so many of us came to be so tragically out of tune, and ill-prepared…and I don’t mean in terms of ammunition, food storage, water…and toilet paper.

It wasn’t a “fearful curiosity” that led me to years of studying the “unseen world” with a psychotherapeutic shaman practiced in the art of healing, or so I thought then. A Sufi-Kabbalist of sorts. It was more a grateful curiosity, having witnessed her work her magic on a hopelessly addicted woman who had been spiraling to her own self-destruction. This would have begun in the early eighties right up until the red flags started rising after 9/11…and flying at full mast after she became a Middle East “consultant” for the Obama State Department.

Raised Christian, I was always drawn to the mystics. Who could argue the merit of Ram Dass’ sage advice to Be Here Now? I was “initiated” into Transcendental Meditation with my high school buds because, hey…if it was good enough for John, Paul, George, and Ringo don’t ya know. Never saw the point…until reading Deepak Chopra’s The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success years later…1989 maybe, “The voice of God is in the gap between our thoughts, and the point of meditation is to widen the gap.” I thought hearing more from God was a good thing. And just like that, I now had both feet upon the slippery slope…with no shortage of slippery sorcerers. They seemed to pop up everywhere…and I never gave a thought then but realize now…how all of them were promoted by none other than Oprah Winfrey herself. And you understand what that means…I know Barack Obama and a man known as John of God do, but more on him later.

I would venture a guess that no one person has led more people on planet earth away from personal responsibility, accountability, and I would argue, away from God than TV Queen Oprah Winfrey. If she had a mantra it would be its not your fault. When, in reality, every last bit of it is our fault…BOOM!

Paul’s encounter with the false prophet in Acts 16:16-19 is both telling and familiar. She had found a profitable niche with the political interests around her, as a result of her communication with the unseen rulers and majesties. The health and well-being of our nation went from the tried and true hands of the local pastor and family doctor, to what has become a multi-billion dollar smoke and mirror carnival of barkers from the cottage industry of tarot card, palm readers, and crystal pushers, to the leviathan of Big Pharma and man-of-the-hour Bill  “Mark of the Beast” Gates…just in the nick of time! Oh, I nearly forgot to tell you, John of God  was my Shaman’s Shaman. She and her husband traveled to Brazil on multiple occasions, for his “healings”. Talk about a fearful curiosity. I am sure they had no idea of who this monster really was, but isn’t that the point?

What do barkers, sorcerers, and witches all have in common? They lure you in, just as the possessed prophet in Acts 16, appearing so knowing…and helpful. But the sheepdog in Paul could see her “center of everything” heart. If you haven’t been lured in yourself at one time or another, then you most likely haven’t lived. As I said in my own baptism testimony several years ago, my own path to becoming a saved born-again Christian was truly a process of elimination, having turned over all the other stones.

The other part of our Pray & Fast Wednesday this week was inspired by my morning Maxwell, A Brother in More Than Only Blood, on the importance of trust and “inner circle”, as found in the relationship between Moses and Aaron in Exodus 4:14-16. I have never been lied to, that I am aware, by a saved and convicted Christian. It’s impossible to overstate the darkness, evil, treachery, and pure wickedness that is upon us. But just as the blood of the Lamb on the door of every Jewish home saved the Jews from the angel of death on Passover in the Old Testament, so too will His Blood on the Cross of Calvary save us in the New. They are not selling vaccine dear friend; they, having lured us in, are selling fear. They can and have forced many things upon us, but they can never make us buy fear. Let not your hearts be troubled.

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ The Great Escape

Nothing need be said…

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. ~ John 13:34-35…from yesterdays Maxwell, The Mark of a Believer

And from the same morning’s Chambers, Watch what the Bible has to say about suffering, and you will find the great characteristic of the life of a child of God is the power to suffer, and through that suffering the natural is transformed into the spiritual.

The John 13 command to love one another, now from our “social distance”, strikes a chord that gives the Chambers passage a deeper meaning for me. I have to say, there are not many things that scare me. But there are two things that I see most clearly now that do. Irrational hatred is one. I can understand the hatred a mother might feel for the person who murders her child, but that is a hatred that can be controlled, and even on occasion transformed to love and forgiveness. But irrational hatred, such as the kind we’ve seen building for our President for the past four years, burns like jet fuel, totally out of control consuming everything in its path. What if I were to tell you that this kind of hatred has a good deal in common with COVID-19. There is absolutely nothing natural about either. Both are weapons being trained on US with diabolical intent so dark and nefarious it’s beyond the grasp of the normal person’s heart to imagine it…which leads to my second fear. I see how easily we are manipulated and controlled, exactly like sheep. I see it in my own closest circle…not the slightest hesitation, pause, or question why…ours is but to do or die? So much going on here… The irrational hatred I saw spilling onto the streets of Newburgh, NY on Friday night…watching reports from the UK how neighbors are being encouraged to spy on neighbors violating social distancing requirements conjures memories from the not so distant and most unpleasant past.

Something extraordinary occurred here in the Village of Kiryas Joel, not twenty minutes from the scene of Friday night’s civil unrest in the City of Newburgh. KJ has the largest reported cases of the COVID-19 virus. According to the Orange County CV-19 Map, as of March 27, KJ had 265 cases compared to 62 in Newburgh. BUT, what is not being reported, all of those infected in KJ were treated by Dr. Vladimir Zelenko using 200mg Hydroxychloroquine twice a day, 500mg Azithromycin once a day, and 220mg Zinc sulphate once a day, all for five days. According to Dr. Zelenko in his letter dated March 23, he treated 350 patients. ALL recovered! ZERO hospitalizations! ZERO mortality!

So, what does all this have to do with love and suffering? And what does any of this have to do with OUR Great Escape? It must have been an image I saw perusing Facebook…the famous scene of Steve McQueen flying over that fence on a motorcycle. Call me crazy, but that is how God talks to me…none of this…not a blessed bit of any of this is random. God gives all of us things, talents, gifts. He gives some the ability to see what others do not…

The Sheepdog Promise: I was bred for this moment in time. I see you before you see me. I am willing to give more than you are willing to risk for what I was born to protect. And that is all you need to know.

If the medicine Dr. Zelenko used to save lives sounds familiar to you, that’s because it’s the same medicine President Trump referred to in his daily COVID-19 press briefing. The same press briefings now being censored and silenced by the media. A Seattle-based NPR station has stated that it will no longer be airing President Donald Trump’s coronavirus briefings because of “misinformation.”  As we’ve learned over the past several years, misinformation is simply the information they don’t want you to hear. ~ “Misinformation”?

Last week I included an amazing 10-part video made by a Dutch investigative journalist exposing the global cabal behind the REAL network of misinformation. What I absolutely love about the photograph of Melania and Ivanka above, as a sheepdog…You see them looking at the Pope. I see them looking at the wolf. Look again…

I’ve added the same Dutch journalist’s COVID-19 update exposing the ultimate “follow-the-money” villain of them all. ~ Bill Gates

“Once the herd accepts mandatory forcible vaccination, its game over! They will accept anything—forcible blood or organ donation—for the ‘greater good’. We can genetically modify children and sterilize them—for the ‘greater good’. Control sheep minds and you control the herd. Vaccine makers stand to make billions, and many of you in this room today are investors. It’s a big win-win! We thin out the herd and the herd pays us for providing extermination services. Now what’s for Lunch?” ~ Henry Kissinger in a speech to the World Health Organization Council on Eugenics Feb 25, 2009

What is the Christian life, if not The Great Escape? Exactly what the devil behind it all has plotted against from the Fall itself. Sometimes I think we have never lived in the middle of forces as good and evil as those we find ourselves between now. The truth is we always have. They’re simply being brought to light now. Pray & Fast my friends…

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ “Peril for the Preacher”

“Ain’t the ones beneath the bed.”

When the message you have to deliver, brother preacher, strikes straight home, don’t water it down just a little. Go straight for God if you come from Him. Neither for fear nor favor alter the message. What happened to John the Baptist? He went straight back to God, minus his head. That was the result of his message. ~ Oswald Chambers, Peril for the Preacher

Funny thing about timeouts…they always meant what they meant before they were misappropriated by what I shall refer to as The Cabal, as the replacement for the tried and true, honest-to-goodness, old-fashioned spanking! In fact, when we stop and think about it, The Cabal misappropriated more honest-to-goodness than you could possibly cram into the rear view of every 18-wheeler on every interstate about to hit their own timeout brakes.

This timeout, however, brings much more than The Cabal that instigated this all bargained for. This time out is platinum rich with irony. The “reset” this timeout buys will bring the greatest spanking the world has ever known to the biggest monster its never known…The Cabal. But before we get to the real meat of the matter, think about what those who were spared the rod suffer. (Maybe I shouldn’t assume all my readers remember the saying, spare the rod-spoil the child?) Do you know what is a greater threat to all of us than COVID-19? Cognitive Dissonance. Do you realize what The Cabal did with all of the hard-earned money we paid to have our children educated? They turned our children’s heads into a collective lockbox…their own lockbox…and threw away the key. How will those two generations removed from the Greatest Generation be remembered?

I never thought I’d live to see anyone actually hug a bug, but we are living in unprecedented times. Watching the Left’s sensationalistic embrace of COVID-19 reminds me of a drowning rat clinging to driftwood in raging floodwaters. Watch the pack of hyenas, otherwise referred to as the White House Press Corps, as they nip at the heels of what JFK would have called the Profile in Courage that is so utterly above and beyond the petty minds marinated in the Marxist swill of our own academia. The great irony in all of this is that they are most likely the only ones who will not survive the flood of their own making. Pray for us all. Pray for this President and his team working around the clock to protect ALL Americans. Most of all, pray for these lost souls who have so totally and completely lost their way.

But we Boomers don’t get a pass here…far from it. We are the modern Adam, who have suffered the same rigor mortis of passivity as the original Adam…we allowed it all to happen. We dodged the “Peril” in the homes, schools, and most critical of all…the pulpits. I gave the following response to a Facebook friend who said I reminded her of the song  Rebel Soldier. The great irony of the ugliest wars is they are invited by good men who refused to fight when words were the bullets and egos the only casualties.

If you are one who believes you were put on this earth to simply sow your seed, reap your harvest, and bounce grandkids on your knee, I suggest you stop here and be on your merry way. But if you wish to have the grandkids remember you for having meant something far more to them than you ever imagined, then buck up and read on. This was my Prayer & Fast Wednesday invitation…

Dear Friends,

There I was in a room full of strangers on a Monday morning in 1994 when the Agency Manager called on me to present a plan…without warning. I stood up to speak…and froze like a seized engine. I swore to myself I would NEVER let that happen again…ever.

Please join us tomorrow if you are able, with prayerful focus on Acts 8:26-40

For Him,

Chip

The Book of Acts is the 5th book of the New Testament. It is the Acts of the Apostles of Christ after the Ascension…after they received the Holy Spirit. What are we, you and I called to, if not to Act? I had to read the passage twice to fully absorb what God was saying to me through Philip…and through me to you.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 “As a sheep led to the slaughter                                                                                              or a lamb before its shearer,                                                                                                    so he opens not his mouth.                                                                                                        In his humiliation justice was denied him.                                                                        Who can describe his generation?                                                                                        For his life is taken up from the earth.”

The greatest fear of all is the unknown. All one needs do is look at the masses response to COVID-19. Wouldn’t it be the greatest irony of all ironies if it turned out that the primary mission of the world’s academic institutions was to keep us ALL in the dark? I absolutely loved how this man responded to his fearful follower. (hit “see replies” after you link to site) Had you ever heard of Henry Johnson before? Well, now you have. Imagine the Love of Henry Johnson…very similar to the Love of David, no? I am here to tell you that it will take every bit of that love to pull us out of here…

‘cause I’ve learned that the monsters                                                                                   ain’t the ones beneath the bed.                                                                                                   ~ Eric Church

I Red Pilled dozens of people this past week with a three hour ten part video put together by an investigative journalist from the Netherlands, called Fall Cabal. I’m thinking they must have also Red Pilled dozens who Red Pilled dozens who Red Pilled dozens more…since turning on the Lights up until yesterday now seems to have violated somebody’s  “Terms of Service”.  Sound familiar? Hopefully someone has it on Vimeo, or some other Youtube alternate site. I will see what I can find. I managed to capture this screenshot, which I believe was Mel Gibson describing the monster we know as Hollywood.

As I told a good Christian friend yesterday, thinking he would have the opportunity to see the video today, “You will not be able to unsee what you see.” We cannot unknow what we now know. We can only Act. I believe we are living in THE most pivotal moment of our lives, if not all of history’s past two thousand plus years. PLEASE, I am begging you DO NOT get caught on the wrong side of this. Give your children and theirs the memory of you they will cherish. Please pray for the health and safety of our President, as well as the brave men and women he sends against the monsters who are in their final hour. God Bless you all, and may God continue to bless America. Remember, Neither for fear nor favor…

The Sunday Morning Tune-up ~ Shepherds from Charlatans

Only God Can Make A Sheepdog From A Wolf!

Last night in men’s Bible study we talked about paying attention to God’s daily “gifts” working in our lives. The devil is way more obvious to me, watching his errand boys peddle fear, as they jockey for position to do their media masters’ bidding, fanning the flames of hysteria while puffing themselves up as the “we’re all in this together” voice of reason around the devil’s latest plot and ploy…as God smiles. Matthew 25:31-46… Don’t be their goat. ~ Shutupnsing 3/13/20

I’m in the middle of recording my third CD, When the World Turns Around. One of my favorite songs on the album is Angels from Devils. The lyric of the song I’d like to dissect as part of today’s message goes like this, I’m gonna leave here in the mornin’…I just can’t take another day…Who can tell rainbows from hell, or angels from devils anyway?

The Absurdity of the Modern World: So, just how am I gonna leave here in the mornin’ when the entire world is closed? And how could I possibly take another day now, when I couldn’t take one more while the world was open? The last half of the verse contains the clue that gives away the answer. The light of truth is the great disinfectant and the ultimate cure for a world sick with lies, where people are ruled by the forces of darkness, fear, corruption, and greed. The good shepherd and sheepdog are one and the same. The good shepherd discerns the rainbows from hell, and the angels from devils, while the sheepdog in him leads his flock where? To the good pastures and still waters. Visualize this in the context of our present chaos and confusion. God brought us here for a very good reason; Rainbows from Hell + Angels from Devils = Shepherds from Charlatans. The modern world has stigmatized the former and lionized the latter…empowering the charlatans to do what they do best. Lead the flock astray. He has finally awakened us to the horrible reality of our reality. A shocking pre-apocalyptic view of our last step in this life…before we take it. A society that “legalizes” the torture and dismemberment of a fully developed innocent human being has no next step. “Astray” doesn’t come close to fully capturing the bed we’ve made for ourselves.

The roots of “charlatan” are, perhaps fittingly, a bit obscure. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, it is derived from the Italian “ciarlatano,” meaning “babbler,” thought to be from “ciarla,” to prattle or chat, a word possibly formed in imitation of the sound of someone babbling.

Now, it would appear, God has given us all a Time Out.

While we sleep, justice is being carried out on the wicked. But this is of little or no consequence to us. Whether Tom Hanks was quarantined or detained, or whether Disney’s Iger stepped down of his own free will, as hundreds of his peers follow suit, matters not. What matters most of all is what you and I do with our time out.

This is where it helps to reflect on the fact that the ones Jesus specifically identifies with are Christians—particularly Christians who are suffering because of their commitment to the gospel.

He is saying that if you believe this message at all, of course you are going to be moved to action by the stories of those who are suffering for their commitment to this message. ~ J.D. Greear, Are You a Sheep or a Goat?

When I was young and stupid “Last call for alcohol” was the message that got my full attention. It took a real long while for my young and stupid to wear off…but God finally wore me down. While most of you were earning your degrees, making your mark, and raising your kids, I was howling at the moon. I think God must have finally heard me and decided to put my howl to better use. In hindsight Shutupnhowl may have been a more fitting name for this blog because that’s what it feels like I’ve been doing for the past eleven years or so.

Dear friends, use this time wisely. Whoever and wherever you are. It makes no matter. What you did. Who you did. How you did what you did. What matters most of all right now is what you do. Let me help, Sheepdog that I am, with your most important 1st step…oath if you will; love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Make hay in this time out. Think of our history as a people, our beginning, our amazing successes, and our tragic failures. Think of those honored and disgraced. Think of those who sacrificed it all for strangers they would never know. Think of loved ones gone and what they hoped for you, and what they would say to you now. Most of all, huddle your children close, bring them in, God will speak His voice to them through your lips…as He looks into their eyes and lights their souls through your eyes. Love thy neighbor as thy self…look in on the elderly. If this is not last call, lets make it the best dry run ever. Either way, tomorrow will be better than yesterday. That is a promise!
