The Fiery Crash of Liberalism

Oh, the humanity...

Oh, the humanity…

Unlike the rapid “death spiral” descent of most ill-fated aircraft, the Hindenburg just sort of hung there, suspended in the freeze-frame of time…and burned itself to death. The Hindenburg symbolized the pride of Nazi Germany in flight, and its hellish truth in a fiery death. Could there possibly be a more apt comparison for the crashing hot air balloon of Liberalism than the Hindenburg herself?

Two of the most repeated arguments I’ve heard Liberals throw out at those of us who have dared to question what lurks behind the curtain are as follows:

1) Without Liberalism there would be no “Social Security”!

2) Without Liberalism the “work week” would be 7 days long!

…So, at the end of the day, we can thank Liberalism for Ponzi schemes and weekends? Actually, one half of the Liberal argument is a lie when we stop and think of who we have to thank for the Sabbath, eh? But now we’re really getting to the darker heart of the Liberal mind, aren’t we. Imagine the Liberal rewrite of the greatest book of all…

In the beginning Liberalism created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of Liberalism was moving over the face of the waters. And Liberalism said,“Let there be money for nothing and weekends to do nothing for nothing!” 🙂

We wouldn’t let them get away with that…would we? 😦

Liberalism is all about shiny things…like the DOW at 16,000 and healthcare for everyone (except for those who exempt themselves)! But the DOW at 16,000 is about as real as the face of Nancy Pelosi on Meet the Press this past Sunday. Poor David Gregory! Only Liberalism can look into the camera and tell you that you will love what you already hate, which “is neither here nor there.” as she lectured Gregory. Yes Nancy…exactly!

But the most compelling argument against Liberalism is the very Truth it cannot kill…the simple fact that Liberalism, by definition, is the present value of Moral Insolvency.

You see, in Liberal Land when figments of imagination explode, much the same as the Stay-Puft-Marshmallow-Man did in Ghost-busters, we are left with a delicious mess. But in the real world when the Stay-Puft-Smoke-&-Mirror-Man creation of Liberalism explodes, people will die…lots of them!

“[It’s practically standing still now. They’ve dropped ropes out of the nose of the ship, and they’ve been taken a hold of down on the field by a number of men.] It’s starting to rain again; it’s—the rain has slacked up a little bit. The back motors of the ship are just holding it just, just enough to keep it from — It burst into flames! Get this, Charlie! Get this, Charlie! It’s fire—and it’s crashing! It’s crashing terrible! Oh, my, get out of the way, please! It’s burning and bursting into flames, and the—and it’s falling on the mooring-mast and all the folks agree that this is terrible, this is one of the worst catastrophes in the world. [Indecipherable word(s)] It’s–it’s–it’s the flames, [indecipherable, possibly the word “climbing”] oh, four- or five-hundred feet into the sky and it … it’s a terrific crash, ladies and gentlemen. It’s smoke, and it’s flames now … and the frame is crashing to the ground, not quite to the mooring-mast. Oh, the humanity and all the passengers screaming around here. I told you, I can’t even talk to people whose friends are on there. Ah! It’s–it’s–it’s–it’s … o–ohhh! I–I can’t talk, ladies and gentlemen. Honest, it’s just laying there, a mass of smoking wreckage. Ah! And everybody can hardly breathe and talk, and the screaming. Lady, I–I’m sorry. Honest: I–I can hardly breathe. I–I’m going to step inside where I cannot see it. Charlie, that’s terrible. Ah, ah—I can’t. I, listen, folks, I–I’m gonna have to stop for a minute because I’ve lost my voice. This is the worst thing I’ve ever witnessed.” ~ Herbert Morrison reporting on one of the greatest disasters in American History…until now that is. Its nature’s law… The bigger the lie, the greater the crash!
