Watch “12 Angry Men” Again!

An error does not become Truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does Truth become error because nobody will see it…Even if you are a minority of one, the Truth is still the Truth. ~ Mahatma Gandhi

God is clearly working through my step-daughter “Grace”! First her gift of JFK’s Profile’s in Courage, and then this past weekend she brings home the Oscar-winning movie 12 Angry Men as part of a homework assignment. The link between the two and their combined message are more than astonishing. They are the super halogen beam of light from the great lighthouse of our distant and not so distant past…warning us.

Watching the movie again, I realize there is probably no movie that has ever portrayed courage in the face of mob mentality more accurately and artistically than 12 Angry Men! Henry Fonda played the part of the lone juror in his thoughtful and solemn deliberation in the face of a steamrolling herd brilliantly. I cannot urge you enough to treat yourself to this movie whether you’ve already seen it or not!

In fact, if you really like goose bumps, I would encourage you to watch 12 Angry Men this Friday followed by a Saturday matinee of David Icke’s Mind Control & The New World Order! (Thanks to Lynn Teger!) In Mind Control, Icke connects the dots as well as anyone I’ve listened to! He reminds us of Arthur Schopenhauer’s work:

All Truth Passes Through 3 Stages

  • Ridicule
  • Violent Opposition
  • Accepted as Self-Evident

Schopenhauer could have been the script-writer for 12 Angry Men! For this is exactly what happened in the course of the movie. Henry Fonda’s character knew what the other jurors were not ready to accept. As Icke himself puts it, “Truth is not something you believe, Truth is something that is.”

The most amazing quality of Fonda’s character to my mind is patience. He didn’t have to bang the others over the head to sell them on the Truth…he just needed to create the space for it and allow it to sell itself! WOW! And sure enough, one by one, the Truth became self-evident to every single one of them!

Taking this all in, I wonder if our greatest downfall is the direct result of a popular belief that Truth is an elusive fairy…everybody has one, but nobody can pin it down! Isn’t that exactly what it took for government to create the greatest form of control is a prison without bars”?…as Icke observes. In 12 Angry Men an innocent man was set free. In Mind Control, we understand that we have condemned ourselves by our own complacency. Therefore, only we can set ourselves free! That’s great news, IF

“The most dangerous man, to any government, is the man who is able to think things out for himself…Almost inevitably, he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable.”      ~ H.L. Mencken

  1. 12 Angry Men has been one of the most memorable movies I have ever watched. A wonderful idea to do it as a homework assignment…a must-teach lesson to our youth, plus a reminder to the rest of us.
