“Home of the Brave”???

Captain, my religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me….That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave. ~ Stonewall Jackson

I emailed a copy of Sunday’s “I Will Resist” to 11 Catholic friends asking the question, “Are we all seeing the same thing?” Only two responded directly back to me (as opposed to the group). I wrote back out to them asking, “What does this say about us? Did our Lord intend for friends to tongue-tie themselves so? We need to unfreeze ourselves and speak to Truth…please!” And then the next morning God sends the most amazing message in the person of Richard Fernandez…which I sent out to the same group;

…in mysterious ways my friends! http://pjmedia.com/richardfernandez/2015/02/28/mein-kampf-in-the-piety-stall/

“One of the advantages of growing up in the Third World is that one has not yet lost the simplicity of perception that used to be common among Westerners forty or fifty years ago.  This makes some immigrants from the Third World like men from the Greatest Generation thawed out after being frozen in ice.  People born out of time who understand that culture consists of more than the absence of conviction.  If that book (Mein Kampf) had been in a church in 1946 everybody would have noticed.”

Richard Fernandez has written one of the most brilliant portraits of who we (Western Civilization) have allowed ourselves to become. From the copies of Mein Kampf in the church piety stall to the pathetic defense of the barbaric savage “Jihadi John”, identified as Mohammed Emwazi as an “extremely kind, gentle, beautiful young man” by a human rights organization called Cage; he has marched us all before the mirror and presented us with the inescapable truth. He writes, A virus is loose in the university and in the media.  But we cannot even name it or report it.  What to do?” I say it’s in the water and the air we breathe!

I actually made a Liberal angry the other day when I shook my head in the mildest protest over a pornographic lipstick TV commercial that climaxed with a woman performing oral sex on a rather large ice cream cone! Do you begin to see? In a world that embraces and rewards the Al Sharptons while it shuns and targets the Tea Party, the evil savage is given the green light…while the Conservative isn’t even permitted the space to be offended!

If we retrace our steps, which is exactly what I tried to convey in “I Will Resist” with help of far more intelligent people than myself, the fog lifts and fades into crystal clarity so sharp it hurts the mind. Yesterday we trusted and revered Father Ted Hesburgh of Notre Dame. Today we know he is the reason our children search for the Bible somewhere between the fiction and comics section in their local libraries…if they look for it at all! Why? Because we allowed it! As Michael Voris puts it so well, “He deserves our prayers…not our praise!”

What do you suppose would be the consequences of allowing the nature and character of Father Hesburgh to preside over our banking system and financial markets? David Stockman knows!

There is nothing “kind, gentle or beautiful” in Evil. It cuts 5-year-old boys in half before their screaming fathers and feeds the meat of the butchered son to the unsuspecting, desperate and pleading mother! You call it out. You face it down. You do EVERYTHING it takes to destroy it! What you don’t do, is pretend that everything is ok. What you don’t do is avoid the politically unpleasant conversations. That is the invitation Evil waits for! That is the cover it relies on!

IF, I were America’s Surgeon General for just one day, I would hook every man, woman and child over six to one enormous IV Bottle feed, full of Rudyard Kipling!

IF you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies, Or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream – and not make dreams your master;

If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim;

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’ If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, ‘ Or walk with Kings – nor lose the common touch, if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And – which is more – you’ll be a Man, my son!
